Just spotted this

http://www.woolworths.co.uk/web/jsp/product/index.jsp?pid=50943402

I keep one in my car permanently (slightly bigger at 300w) and its very useful for charging camera batteries ,phones and running my sons DD player.

At £8 this one is a bargain!

I don't think this one will kill your battery very easily Wink

We keep one in the boot when we're travelling.  It's useful at LM etc for battery charging.

I bought a Belking 300watt Inverter with Battery Protection circuitry for about £25 from Argos last year. This is excellent and beware that 80watts will not run most laptops correctly. Standard wattage of laptops is 120watts

It won't run your laptop, but it will (though very slowly) recharge the battery of your laptop Smiley

So I trotted along to Woolworths today and found the transformers in the sale area, however they seemed to have some stickers removed and were listed as being £30, apparently the £8 offer finished on the 30th December!

So if you want a better one wait until the Maplins sale, they have a variety of transformers there to suit all loads.

But I did get a nine inch angle grinder with discs for £30 which wasn't bad!

I had the same problem & for £30 it looked like it would break when I plugged it in Sad

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!
