Here's a bit of a flavour of this years Revival.  I spend a good part of the weekend on the AS Motorsport stand but managed to slip away to see some of the racing.

All the photos, and more, are at my Webshots site - http://community.webshots.com/user/route66weasel

Steve,

Some really great shots there.

Many thanks also for the aircraft shots, they bring back memories of when I was a wee lad particularly the DC3 (sorry C47) as these in civvies used fly out of Pompey. Many happy memories of playing on a Spit' in school playground just down the road from Pangshanger (before Pompey).

You cound have recorded the sounds as well, but that would be asking toooooooooo much.

Stev,

Loved the motors as well.

Original 'Babs' is at Brooklands (I believe).

The BDR 1 &2's were fabulous.

Jerry,
The sound of all those Merlin engines at close call is still rattling around in my head  Grin

I once flew on a scheduled DC3 flight in the backwaters of Mexico in about 1985 - quite an experience climbing over the Sierra Madre.

Regarding Parry Thomas's Babs, she lives part time in the Brooklands Museum and part time at Pendine in Wales - and of course, sometimes runs at events such as Goodwood.
She's looks to be quite a struggle around the corners, with the torque of the low revving 27 litre Liberty engine.

Great pictures Steve,
Especially the underside of the Spitfire.
I hope it was a successful event for you.

So sad to have missed the Revival, thanks for the pics.
I dont think I would be to keen on trying to wrestle Babs though, 27 ltr of engine through a chain drive - espcially as its its failier decapitated Parry Thomas on Pendine sands!
Hope Andy had good interest in the DB2 project.

Great pictures Steve.

Well then because no-one else has mentioned them, I am equally happy with the pics of the Glamcabs girls and "Marilyn" too as well as the Planes Of The Century (last) and the racers

Very nice

Kiss (for the girls of course!)

It looks like the Hurricane that crashed yesterday at Shoreham was the same one in Steves image.

I don't know if it was the same pilot.

Tragic.
