Saw this today in Addlestone whilst filling up. Yep, it's a Merc, just imported from California and is the only one in the UK. What do you reckon? You 'new' owner was peeling off the 'whitewalls' and looked a bit 'yardy-ish'

At my age, it takes me all night to do what I used to do all night!!!!!!!!!!! Then, growing old is compulsary, but growing up is just optional.
I don't do GREEN, I've got a 4x4

Man, that's pretty scary looking. I'm no fan of the CLS' looks anyway, but this mod kind of takes the biscuit.
Are we predicting a return of the Consul/Granada/Capri "black vinyl roof"? At first I thought it was a cabriolet, but even the Americans aren't stupid enough to put a sun roof in a convertible... are they?

Newspaper misprints from around the world: "After the boat had been secured above the wrecked galleon the apparatus was set in motion by the captain's 18-year old daughter, Veronica. Within an hour, she was yielding her treasure to the excited crew."

God some people just don't know when to stop do they?
Ghastly beyond words! The Merc CLS thing is the best looking Merc in years, ever possibly. And some twunt thinks that by adding Maxpower wheels and that idiotic grille he's gonna improve on it? It's the Vinyl roof that really does it for me though. It completely destroys the wonderful flowing roofline. Incompetence expressed through a Stanley knife and a roll of stick-on Vinyl! Yeesh! Spare me!

Is ridiculous !
I am obvoiusly a Mercedes fan, but why pimp an old mans GT?
Let Merc do what they do best (Just Formula One unfortunately now, isn't it?) and don't mess.
Plus Brabus can do it tastefully.

I wonder how long those low profile wheels will last on our roads?

WHY? When Merc spend millions on development of such luxury machines does someone feel the need to make it look like a Vanden Plas Allegro with massive wheels.... and who was stupid enough to import it??? Nice to see that my Granada Scabriolet thread had sparked an interest in the horrid and tasteless "modified car" scene. If only I had the camera to hand the other day in Southampton.... The "Fast & Furious" style Triumph Acclaim (Beige with Matt black stock wheels and massive Halfords rear wing) was a cracker! PP
