In short Audi are sick of IMSA not adopting the ACO rules. Surely it won't come to them ditching the ALMS but I'd love it if it did; we would surely have an Audi-Peugeot duel of our very own at Silverstone this year  Grin

Apparently there's always some team angry at the organisation. Now it's Audi, in three months time it's Pescarolo at LM. Becomes all a little predictable to me. Threatning does work sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't.

To be honest, if Audi pulls out of ALMS I don't think anybody will hear the difference Grin

This is ridiculus as why can't a LMP2 car be able to keep up!

Still maybe we will see them over here in the summer.

Wish Audi would pull out of the ALMS!  I suspect if they did we'd see a lot more teams joining the LMP ranks.
Tough for a privateer to justify trying to take on the might and financial resources of a major manufacturer.  But if Audi was gone, suddenly purchasing a Porsche RS Spyder and joining the fight sounds alot more fun.

It may be that Acura are more likely to move up to P1 in the ALMS, but it would also be nice to see Porsche raise the bar a bit and develop the existing car as a P1.

With the possible doubt that the forthcoming ACO LMP1 regs change to a closed car are likely to happen, the above becomes more viable.
