Hi to all, been lurking for rather a long while now so thought it about time to introduce myself and join in the fun  Grin.
Been making the pilgramage to Le Mans since 2000 when my first trip was courtesy of Bentley...no I'm not rich, I worked for them as a design engineer. They provided camping facilities, and food etc for any of the work force, that wanted to make the trip, at the far end of the Hippodrome...or atleast as far away from the prefab 5* hotel they set up for their customers as possible  Wink. We even got to use the courtesy busses to run us around, most useful given the weather that year  Cheesy. Best memory was walking to the end of the access road to the hippodrome  @ 2:00am & hanging over the armco on the mulsanne right opposite the Chinese place with the cars passing at Vmax just before they hit the breaks for the 1st chicane...awesome. And the marshals even shared a cheeky beer with us, its amazing what a bit of liquid bribery can achieve Grin
From that day on I was hooked and returned with the Crewe lot until their adventures came to an end, and have now relocated to HA with robbo28 having finally persuaded him and a few other old school mates to give it a go.
Well thats enough from me for now, see you all soon,
Gareth.

Welcome

Rather damp in 2000 as I remember. You'll be hooked forever now and will start planning next years trip as soon as you get back from this years event.

Welcome along - join in and enjoy the topics, the thread creep and the virtual pub nature of the chatter, and meeting up with the crowd during race week.
