I've checked this with Steve (in relation to spam) and he gave me the go ahead. Here's the deal: I'm working on building a worldwide race fan community, together with an IT friend of mine.

What I've come across the past year are two things: people in need of information about going to a race and people who are willing to provide that information and help out. People who don't have anybody to go with and people who are willing to host newbies. What I am working on is a crossover between MySpace.com and Youtube.com with a central theme: visiting car racing in all sorts of classes. The platform my friend is building will enable you to gather all information you need to visit a race anywhere in the world and contact those who are also going for a beer meet or whatever. The Youtube part in the concept will of course be sharing pics and vids on races, fans and tracks.

I've started by opening a group on MySpace.com yesterday (http://groups.myspace.com/unitedracefans) and our own site will be launched in a couple of months. I sincerely hope you will join in due time and tell your fellow race fan to join as well.
