Hi folks,
I've decided (as a newbie) to abandon our original plan of turning up without a camping ticket and just finding somewhere when we get there - the official camping sounds like a good idea now I've realised that a few people have spare passes and are passing them on at reasonable prices. An apparently really nice swedish fella has offered me a Houx Annexe camping pass for 45 Euros which seems like just the job and he is turning up at about the same time as me on Tuesday evening, and he has suggested I find his new Audi RS4 and big tent with lots of Swedish flags when I get there and buy the pass off him then.
While I trust him enough to rely on the ticket, am I going to be able to get into Houx Annexe with my car to find him in the first place to collect the ticket, given that I won't have it on me when I arrive?
Help much appreiciated,
Androo  Wink

I doubt you will get onto the campsite with the car on Tuesday to find him, there should not be too many people if you have to find them!

Did you buy from the bloke on here who posted his picture?

They look to me like a pretty normal bunch of Euro Le Mans fans!

Are you paying for the ticket upfront or on collection?   He will need some certainty that you are going to turn up for the ticket as well if you haven't paid up front.

Why not exchange mobile numbers - you can ring him on it before hand to check that it's real if you're concerned?

You won't get onto the campsite with a car without a pass though so you'll need to be able to give him a ring when you get there and arrange to either walk onto the site to meet him or for him to come out to you.

I'd rather have another Tropillama!

Androo,

If you can't find the guy I'm sure you will be able to by tickets from the ACO  Ok they may  be BSJ or Techno.  in 27 years I've only once had a problem getting a Camping ticket.  Even then I found an "unofficial" site pretty easy.

Don't worry.

In 9yrs we've only bought one camping ticket in advance, the rest of the time we have either pitched in a parking area or for the last 2yrs have got onto Houx, buying a ticket at the gate.

Sorted! The smashin' Swede has kindly agreed to post me the ticket and, in the true spirit and tradition of Le Mans, trust me to find him and give him the face value of the ticket in cash when I get there. Thanks everyone for your informed comments!  Grin Grin Grin
