Brilliant commentary!!.......interesting to see how the trees have grown a little over the past 50 years and no Porsche Curves ...what was it called in 1956?

Shame Mike Hawtorn died the way he did....racing Duncan Hamilton on the A3 at Guildford.

Wasn't called anything - just the stretch between Arnage and White House.

It was a great shame, but not Hamilton. It was Rob Walker in a Mercedes 300SL Gullwing. Hog's Back near Guidford, January 22nd 1959

He also was meant to have had a kidney disease which meant he would not have lasted much longer anyway.
I forget who said it about Mike on how they would like to think the last words he said before he hit the tree were "oh fu....".

Isn't it great to hear him talk about "improvements" to the circuit!! It would be interesting to hear what the drivers think about the changes to the Dunlop approach this year!
