Do you belong to the Porsche Club GB, because if you do you will get a bit of a discount with RAC.

In 2003 we went to the South of France in our Porsche 944 S2, and it broke when we arrived in the South of France. We were covered by RAC breakdown and recovery. A part on our airconditioning broke, and it took them 2 weeks to fix it. My husband drove on Saturday morning from South of France to Le Mans we arrived at 3am on Sunday. We went to sleep for a couple of hours and watch the last 6 hours of so in our ACO grand stand.

It gets better they never re-gased our air conditioning, so we drove to Le Mans in temperature of 36C outside temperature. We had to drink warm water.

The RAC did pay for our accommodation in the South of France.

We now have a VW.

Errr....don't think I'm eligable with an Audi!!

That's a minimum of 15 hours driving - was it on the back of a recovery truck??

Del Boy - Yes we left Cagnes-Sur-Mer, near Nice in the afternoon and only stop for petrol and McDonalds. Hubby eat McDonalds, while I went into Carfour for water. Luckly we were staying with a French lady that we meet at in the ACO shop at Le Mans. We arrive at about 3am on the Sunday morning. 

It has not put us of going to the South of France for the week before Le Mans. Last year we went to Alpe D'Huez, so hubby could cycle up it. We left the Alpes last year at 10am and got to Le Mans Carfour, just before it closed.

The time in 6 week we will be waiting to get on the ferry to France.

They fixed our car. We only got it back at 12pm on the Saturday.
