Just a quick reminder for everyone to double check your passport!

I just spend a frantic 2 hours searching the entire house for mine thinking i'd lost it! But found it and all is good.

Just wanted to make sure everyone has checked! Would be terrible to lose it just before you go!

Erm, good point. It's here somewhere. Haven't used it since Sebring. Did I mention I'd been to Staplefield too?

Thanks to the Schengen treaty you don't really need it any more when travelling on the european mainland. Although we'll cross 2 borders (Belgium, France) from Germany we never got checked in the last years. 2 years ago I forgot my passport completely, which I realized only when I already had returned.

One year one of our party took his wifes passport, got out OK. But was very worried about getting back - but in the end got back as well, the french did not want to keep him - (pity - only joking)

Another year someone was due to fly over and took his daughters passport - he did not even get on the plane.

So not only check where your passport is, make sure its yours......

Not a problem for me this year, as I'm not going .................ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Work, work work - and it's my own business - the fool.

Also make sure it's not out of date. Three years ago I went to Le Mans and back with one that had expired in January, and it wasn't spotted 'till I tried to get over to Spa in the August!! Then had mad dash to get up to Passport Office for a new one.
