Just saw at Aldi stores, a 2200w generator - 4 stroke petrol unit.

At about £150 it cheap and looks good. Not sure how much it cost to hire  one.

With this size you can easily power all equipment on site, especially a fridge.

Worth a look - I think.

Hiring a genny is about £65 for the duration,
Buying is good but beware the cheap gennies must have the oil checked daily. Huh
If you use 'that site' they are available next day delivery but there'll probably be no warranty etc.
If you want your genny to last spend a few extra pennies and buy a honda. Grin

The honda is the best genny, very quiet and well built. But you will be paying upto and over £500 for a 2000w unit.

The aldi unit has a 3 year warranty and is only at the stores this week until they have sold out.

Still a good price - I brought a 650w unit last year and it has given me now problems. I will get a couple of years out of it and then throw it away. Or get it nicked from le mans next time.

You are very right there, I am a Generator Dealer.

With ref to the nicking, I had worse three years ago at tetre rouge some pr**k Huh put sugar in the fuel tank, I thought most of us were understanding. We fixed it though and it was a hire one! Wouldn't have wanted to pay for that when I got home.

I only use the genny to get the fridges down to temp then switch it off. Cheesy

Anyhow enjoy. Grin

Hiring a super quite 1kw Honda genny @£40, thought about buying one but never had the need for it outside LM. Got a nice strong bike rope lock to attach it to the fridge with.
