Diesel prototype

Was it me or was the diesel (caterpillar engine I think) LMP900 last year about as aurally exciting as a Nissan Micra???  Is there likely to be another diesel prototype, I bet it would have been an incredible car to drive, MASSIVE torque (that's why it retired I think) as it kept killing clutch plates.

There were rumours that the Audi R9 would be a diesel. Not certain how true it was though.

Imagine if we could arrange for the club parade laps in the morning to be military vehicles as well. He'd think he'd died and gone to heaven!!

Yup, I can just imagine a Scammel Pioneer lumbering along the start / finish at 12 mph!

He'd have that devilish look in his eye (as seen at the RHS of this photo........... the RIGHT side)
