Bloody stupid question..
Does anyone know if we could get a hotel at this late stage near the circuit, this is our contingency plan if we cant get our tents down to the Houx Annexe?
? How about the Concorde...

Are you insane ?
Finding an available room in Le mans at this period could only be a miracle or a HUGE question of money.
I let you see first with the Hotel Concorde (00 33 2 43 24 12 30 or by mail
lemans@concorde-hotels.com
)
In a second time I can only advice you to look after a gite rural or a guesthouse in the country around the track. Some opportunites may be still available...

go down to Le mans.
Find a pitch.
One stays with all kit on pitch
Other nips off to local super martket and buys 2 tents and a couple of sleeping bags total spend £80?
Cheaper than a hotel for a couple of nights

Out of interest, and boredom obviously, I got a quote for some local hotels from an agency. Instead of the usual 50 Euros a night, they were asking 500.
I'd rather sleep with Uncle 'you can't give the baby booze!' Peter...

Liszt is right it is so cheep to buy a tent at Carrefour, may be les that the £80 and arnage is free camping first come first in. or the local residents will let you camp in garden for £20 if you have the lingo and the gonads to ask.
good luck
