This is actually a very interesting topic. I share your view that GT is a bit monotonous - 996's dominate and have done for the last few years - quite justifiably, as they are fantastic sportscars. I think they are as popular and successful as they have become, because the GT3 is a turn-key track car. Same goes for 360 Modena, to a lesser degree. I'd love to see some variety, other than bad jokes. With development, the TVR Tuscan could be competitive - but why hasn't anyone ever campaigned an XKR Jaguar, as they do here in US, or a DB7, or a Corvette, or a Quattroporte Maserati? Honda NSX, and Nissan Skyline have raced with a degree of success at Le Mans, as have Venturi and De Thomaso. I suppose I must also mention Spyker, even though it is a hideous pile of sheot. Trouble is, there is no money or glory in GT. This is the supposed "Gentleman Racer" class, where, it seems, you either stump-up for your racing enjoyment, or beg for your budget from suckers like us.
