Maserati has revealed its V12-powered supercar with which it hopes to take GT racing by storm – although it refutes that the mid-engined car will kill-off the category.

The new car, codenamed MCC, will be launched at the Geneva Motorshow in March, and features a six-litre, normally aspirated engine. Ferrari and Maserati customer racing division boss Claudio Berro insists that the machine will be no more expensive to run than its existing GT rivals.

"This car has not been developed with a massive budget," said Berro. "The MCC will be very close to the road version of the car, which means we will not have a big advantage."

Between eight and 10 race cars will be built in time for next year, in addition to the 25 MCS road cars that need to be constructed to satisfy the FIA's homologation.

I've seen this motor on a few forums now.  Is it just me, or does it appear to be a clone of the Enzo?

It's more curvier than the Enzo, and in my humble opinion much, much more appealing to the eye.

I bet old J.K has ordered one to go with his Enzo.

I still reckon taht the Bugatti is still one of the nicest current supercars going.....I think they call it "prescence"or is it "just a downright "beauty"?
