Hi!

I took cycles a few years ago and it was great especially cycling down to Arnage and Mulsanne at night (apart from the policeman who thought that I should observe the one way system for the return).

I'm not keen on the bike management - security and hassle of carrying them (can only take them on the top or in the car). Also, we have decent bikes now, so don't want the risk of loss.

Has anyone found a good way of either buying cheap second hand bikes or hiring low value ones?

There was a french geezer in an old rusty white van with a dirty rollup hanging out the corner of his kisser floging nice looking cheap bikes behind the super market in Arnarge the other year. He might still be there. Strange place for a bike market stall i thought. Better still Aircus go to Leroys and buy some bolt cutters!

This sounds a  good idea - though it's probably recycling stolen bikes!  police
