We wanted to thank CA members for their support, through this website and on Facebook, over the last few months. Stu completed his 10k run on Saturday and we're very humbled by everyones generosity and show of support for Kate, and of course Macmillan. Kate is doing well and coming to the end of her chemo, she'll be on the road to recovery after the 16th November! I just want to acknowledge that Deb posted here in June, words that everyone should take notice of, it's unjust that she was taken despite her being a great person with an amazing positive attitude. This is the last time I'll post about the run/charity, but as we know just from this forum cancer affects a lot of the CA family and friends - Macmillan have helped us and would help you too. If you have a £ to spare then it would be great to see Stu over the £2,000 mark http://www.justgiving.com/Stuart-Callister Thanks and see you in 2014 if not before. QV (Stu and Kate) x

I'm looking forward to catching up with all the stories and photos from the weekend and hope those lucky enough to make it to Le Mans this year had a fantastic time. I was gutted not to be at Le Mans this year! Kate and I had planned to take a year off, but as some of you will know, we had no idea how things would pan out for the last week. Kate (28) was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 4 weeks ago and underwent the first stage of her treatment last week. The good news is that the first stage of her treatment appears to have been a success. There is a long road ahead and we won't know more for a couple of weeks... We have taken strength and received support from friends, family and a number of charities, most notably Macmillan Cancer Care. If you are able to donate, no matter how big or small, it really will be to a worthy cause. For the second time in my life I've been reminded that life can knock you sidways/take you out when you least expect it Stu is running, which will be a challenge and a laugh at the same time Please follow the link and send your positive vibes http://www.justgiving.com/Stuart-CallisterThanks in advance, Vicky, Stu and Kate xx

Anyone know if Doris got off OK?
Steve, sorry to hear about your son being taken ill, hope it was a one off and he's ok.
Thanks to everyone again for making it another great year... Especially The Brethren and Zarses. Shame I didn't get to see more of DFH and some others... Steve Brown? Nopanic? Wishy? Did we meet through the course of the weekend?
Hope everyone had a good trip back. I'm already thinking about next year, although I'm hoping that it doesn't fly by as quickly as the my time in France this year. I can't actually believe it's all over again for another year.

Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Indy 500 - BRITISH SUCCESS!

It was the same in Formula Ford when he ran for Van Diemen, he was very obnoxious and very few had any time for him. I guess that's how he and Danica (she had the same bad rep, but actually was just a very focused individual) have got to where they are today... I would have preferred to see one of the other Brits win (Justin Wilson), but it was a crazy/great end to a great race. The Mrs & I were over there today, and Wheldon's win was greeted, shall we say, less than enthusiastically. I have several friends within the Indycar community, and the dislike of Wheldon may rival that toward Danica Patrick. He was a very likeable lad until he won Indy of few years ago, at which point he decided he was the second coming of Jimmy Clark, and became quite an obnoxious person. Hence the reason, among others, that he has been sacked by both Andretti, and Ganassi Racing. Now he can buy some more gold chains and hair product. Fax

Thanks B. I looked at Halo and can't justify staying with them - seems like a festival in itself... Contemplating driving there and back to save the hassle/expense, but thought it was worth an ask.

Looking for a garden to pitch a tent in or recommendations of a campsite, I think I'm so focused on LM that I forgot to book any accommodation for the Foos gig at MK bowl (3/7)
