My poor old first timer mate is now having to stay at home for this year's 24 Heures, as his wife is ready to go into labour at any time - He's gutted :-(
I therefore have available his General Entry pass and either a Tribune 15 (Chinetti) or Tribune 34 (Pits) Grandstand pass, each at cost. The choice is yours.
I am leaving on Thursday, and am willing to meet at the track. 07796 567221.

50% inflation? Hopefully our government have their heads buried so far up their rear ends that they're all too preoccupied to be reading this thread and get some ideas!
I did get a receipt, and I'm going to look into the possibility of appealing.

N138 about 10 clicks north of Sees - 135 Euros for allegedly crossing a white line; only the one their spotter pointed out was the car behind! After the rozzer cochons conversed in fluent English to tell me that I had to pay up or leave the car with them, they suddenly lost their linguistic ability when I tried to point out the error of their ways. My suspicions arose as they had pulled in another guy in front of me for the same thing, who told me that his was also questionable and in their eagerness to grab money they hadn't even bothered looking closely enough at the paperwork he'd given them which would have showed it was someone else's! Lucky for him and me that my mate was carrying currency. As my camping mates will vouch, this really made my holiday and had me spitting blood for most of it. 135 Euros? Darren Turner only got a 3 minute stop/go penalty for the same offence (Darren, if you're reading this, I bet you gladly would have swapped!) I'd particularly like to hear from others who feel that they may have been stitched up on jumped up charges. If there's a case for publicity and 'outing' these Brit-haters with inflated egos and their ridiculous fines (750 Euros for speeding??!!) then I for one would be keen to lead a lobby.

Thanks Gary, I really appreciate someone out there being supportive.
Ultimately, and to all other readers of this and other threads, as a newbie to this site who has both asked for help and offered it on other threads, both aspects so far seem to have fallen on stony ground. That's somehwat disappointing as I thought this forum was intended for people to help each other out?
Perhaps the purpose of this forum is being missed somewhere? Constructive responses to my requests and offers would be most welcome, thank you!

Hi Kate, I will be more positive than most, and say that my party will be glad to get you down safely, and in style, get you pitched, and provide any other help you need! I am one of DW's party - his offering is exactly what you're looking for - full trip down in one of the first ever Stephens' Esprits ever built, via Eurotunnel, and Maison Blanche camping. His MRI package will also give you the comforts of the MRI hospitality area. He's got a spare seat because one of our number has decided that he'd rather go on a stag trip to Southern Ireland. Having known DW for the last fifteen years, you will be in absolutely safe hands, and if in any doubt, I myself am with one of the industry's governing bodies (I'll give you details if you want to check). I'll be going there and back with a friend by Dover - Calais ferry in an Audi ur-Quattro, if you would like more room!
