1  Club Arnage / Help / Re: Friday Lunch! on: June 14, 2006, 01:04:08 pm
Steve,

This sounds great! I was looking for somewhere to eat on the Friday (this week), and was wondering what your opening times are? Afternnoon and evening.

As the race was finishing an hour later this year because of the world cup, I decided not to risk it and changed my ferry crossing from Sunday evening to Monday. I always use the St Malo - Poole route and as my departure is 20.10 I used to leave before the race ended. This way you drive straight out and away with no hold ups. I also have grandstand tickets right oposite the pits (Leonard), so I am sitting tight to watch all the finishing action.

Is that the welcome centre up at Expo, or is it somewhere else. I have to pick up my membership at the ACO HQ, and wonder if the two are the same.

As for bracelets, the last time I wore one was probably when I was born and had nappies on! Hey, now thats a thought, to cancel out the toilet problem over the week, wear nappies!! Why has noboddy suggested this? Perhaps I could make money manufacturing special 24 hour endurance pants to cover the cost of my tickets.  Shocked

No problem with the sleeping conditions! I take out all the rear seats that leaves plenty of room for 2. Electric light, aircon and fridge all onboard, so shouldn't be too bad. Also, just joined club ACO (as if I hadn't pay'd out enough this year!) as I thought their facilities will be greatly recieved come Saturday. Only myself joined though, can anyone tell me if I can take 1 guest into the ACO lounges & hospitality?

Thanks everybody, I have made the decision to park and sleep in the 4WD and I have also just bought 2 Leonard grandstand tickets on ebay. Cost a lot of money, but for the first time we will have a good view of the build-up to the race start and somewhere to rest our legs.

Help anyone!
Me and my son are travelling down to Le mans from St malo on the Thursday enening. Past years we have always booked through MRI and camped, but as they no longer offered me the Poole-St Malo route (I live in Dorset), I have opted to buy directly from ACO. I decided, after reading some posts here, that we could sleep in my 4WD as it is quite comfortable and my question is about being able to sleep in the parking areas. We plan to get there for the practice Thursday evening, but now I am wondering if this is somewhat silly and that I should buy a camping ticket here or on ebay. Has anyone ever slept in the parking areas prior to the race Saturday, or is it well policed?

I will ring them thanks. I want a parking ticket and 2 Granstand tickets and the later is the ones I am worried about. As you say, general admission tickets are not a problem.

Thanks Wishy, it's just that the 24 is not too far away now and I have spent £300 on a Ferry. I will though stay calm!

Thanks, First time I have bought tickets direct, fed up with how I was being treated by MRI, as I use the Poole to St Malo ferry route and they will no longer give me an option to use it.

I have not even had a letter of how to pay ACO yet, but hey, they are the French!

Stay cool  Cool

Same for me really except I only ordered mine about 6 weeks ago and I have had a prompt response from them on email (see below)

Dear Sir,

Don't worry! I can see on your order that we have not had time to
register your payment yet but you mustn't be afraid, we have many many payments to
register and many tickets to send. Anyway, we won't cancel your booking.

I had this a week ago, and still nothing. Do they send out this late normally?
 Huh
11  Club Arnage / Help / Re:Expo, whats it like? on: April 23, 2003, 05:11:25 pm
Thanks Alfa Dave.
I am not arriving untill Thursday morning. This was usually OK at Bleu as it didn't get busy untill Thursday evening/night. From your name (Alfa) do I take it you have a rather nice Italian Lady?
I, myself drive a 156 v6 (not old but nice!)
12  Club Arnage / Help / Expo, whats it like? on: April 23, 2003, 03:45:28 pm
I have Expo camping tickets for the first time this year (couldn't get Bleu). Would anyone like to warn me in advance what to expect? Hopefully it will be peace & tranquility, ample tiolet/showers and a nice big pool (with bar). Will I be dissapointed??
