Matt - I think that you might be right.

The Pie Man fancies the new C6.  Having seen the pictures it does look gorgeous and the spec looks as if it will really go..................in a straight line

However, while you can buy a C6 in the old colony for about 50 cents it is likely to be the best part of £50k over here.

Just what I wanted.

On the way back from Le Mans this year I would like to take a short (90 mile  ) detour to see what remains of the Circuit de Reims.

For those that do not know, this was a very fast road circuit used as a French and European GP circuit in the 1920s through to the early 1970s when it was closed. However, some of the old grandstands and pits still existed (albeit in a dilapidated state) on the N31 road up until about five years ago.

I thought it might provide us with a nice photo opportunity (as well as stocking up on Reims finest for the ladeez in our lives) but I am a little unsure whether it is still possible to access the buildings.

Has anyone been in the last couple of years who might know?

What is the board's view on water pistols?  Are they still in or are they a bit too 1999?

Yeah - he said it was a real bummer staying in some posh chateau courtesy of Audi as it meant that he was surrounded by the Audi girls.  I think the girls were a little under the weather as he told us he was going to give them a good seeing to .

Apparently he would much rather have stayed on the campsite surrounded be thousands of sweaty drunk blokes

His "gift" from Audi for doing the concert was an RS6 in a one off colour (purplish IIRC).

He was even up for us taking a pi55 take shot of my mates "Colvin 911 replica" (actually a stunning 1972 911 )

Last year late Friday afternoon was spent in the finest of LM traditions of putting the world to rights whilst sat drinking at karting Nord.

There then followed a heated argument whether it was Jamiroquai warming up at the Audi stage.  Despite being shouted down by our group I said I would prove them wrong in due course.

Two hours later who should drive past past our tents on his quad bike but JK himslef.  I shout "JK- do you want a beer" and he stops, says yes, gets off his bike, walks over to us and spends the next the 30 mins chatting about cars.

PS - contrary to his image portrayed in the papers he was a top bloke and committed petrol head

Too right - the Porstmouth- Cherbourg crossing was working out at £360 (overnight in a cabin) whereas the Hull- Zeebrugge route including cabin, dinner & breakfast was £310.
Whilst the main benefit for us is less miles in the UK we only need to take a couple of hours off work on Wednesday afternoon rather than a half a day to get down to Portsmouth.
I don't think that the trip on the other side will be too bad as Zeebrugge is only about 90 miles from calais and according to autoroute the overall mileage to Le Mans is about 60 less than going via Portsmouth!!!

Our group are travelling from Leeds on 9th June and we wondering if there were any other northerners travelling to Le Mans via the Hull- Zeebrugge ferry?

I don't think that any of us who are on Beausejour have anything to worry about in terms of atmosphere.


It seems that there are plenty of people on this baord who are going and the sub text running through the posts is "we want to have a party" - doesn't that answer everyone's questions??
