Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: 2023 Tickets

From the Beermountain FB group,
The Prefecture of Le Mans has capped the attendance at 270 000 on safety and infrastructure grounds. The added number of corporate and guests will cut into the numbers available for public sale.I also believe I am correct in saying that a sizeable block of tickets each year is kept for locals,by way of a sweetener for all of the disruption raceweek. As such it will all impact on the quantity remaining. The ACO achieved what they set out to do which was create a clamour and get the Bank Account full pre Christmas.

The guide has been a valuable guide and has helped many people and I have been pleased to have played a small part in it, but l agree that times have moved on and the need has reduced as most info is available at your finger tip.
The updating of the wiki would be good as it provides a year round resource to people thinking ahead. If I can help with that I will do.
Thank you Werner for the original idea and making it happen each year!

He was also the guy behind the Interactive sports Car championship. They had big plans, but only had one race at Donington park in 2001 before it folded leaving behind a trial of broken promises and debt.

Good trip, the race did fizzle out a bit overnight from the manic start.
Drive there and back via the tunnel passed without incident.
Friday night in town was great, if you've not done it it's worth the effort, don't worry too much about the parade now though!
Houx annexe seems much calmer these days, loos and showers clean and queues short for the most part.
After last years thefts, security was at the forefront of our minds, but the additional fencing seem to have stopped the casual walk in and we had no problems.
It was good to see martini again, and thanks to d f h for the cold beer, most welcome!
The Sunday getaway was about 45 mins, a lot less than last year by all accounts and we arrived at our new hotel in good time for a few clod beers and meal.
Bring on 2016,,

Thats right, we like living on the edge, Houx is too soft for us, but my brother will be on Houx somewhere.
The Annexe is nowhere near as bad as it was, got alot better when numbered plots came in. Remember your BBQ lamb, not sure what the weather was like, all the years seem to merge into one nowadays!

Guy Martin is good at what he does, I don't think his persona would work in a Top Gear style show, plus if he did that then I guess he would not be able to do his other shows.
Jodie Kidd! really her and Wilson are the modern day equivalent of Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood. A good program ruined by a pair of bores.
I think if Clarkson does go, unless the other 2 want to carry on without him which is possible, maybe bring on a third guest presenter each week, the show is dead in the water on the BBC. Which means from a BBC point of view loss of revenue not just from the TV show but also the live shows and Magazine and merchandise.
Hope they can find a way to keep the show going, but its going to be hard as even Clarkson must understand its not a good idea to get physical with someone you work with! this will dog him for while, some car makers may even be reluctant to be associated with him.
In its current form Top Gear is a fun way to spend an hour, has little real motoring content but is none the worse for that once you understand its just designed as light entertainment.
