Just called in for a session and for the second year running its shut. Ah well back to the fizzy piss.
My excuses Stu. I had ran out of a few things last night and had to make emergency purchases. Apparently I missed you by a few minutes. Desperatly sorry! First pint FREE on the next visit then!! >Martini...LB Martini I am gutted that I wasn't there to open, so yes, 1st pint free, as long as I am forgiven!! Had a text from the Liverpool Boys today. They were not very happy the Pub was shut, they have been looking forward to a real pint in the Union Jack for weeks. Regards Unhappy Liverpool Boys Guys, if you make it back into town, first pint free too. Been looking forward to seeing you guys here for ages too. Hope you make it into town Phil

Hello!! Yeah, we have our real ales on tap, our Hansy 69 bitter and our new golden ale, McGilvray's Old Bayley! Otherwise it's a few of the regulars like Guinness and Murphy's and a few different beers like Paulaner and our classic BULLDOG BEER! Trying to get my hands on some pork scrathchings (miss out on the hedgehog doings though)
Looking forward to seeing you there!!

Can your opening time on Tuesday be brought forward. Lazy lunch and a few good pints for our
group would really start the week off well Cheers
Ian
Not a problem, yeah! about midday? Hopefully I'll still be recovering from England beating the French 3-0 from the night before

Thanks for the comments guys! Oh my, we are so going to have to come along and try this! Can I also reserve a table for Friday 13th June 2014? It's my 50th birthday and should be pre-race Friday too. Hurrah! I'll write it in my diary Mr Rick! Should be in time with the world cup matches too

I have had the lesser known groups play at my pub over the last two years. Ekho would be the best out of the crop of local bands, singing pop rock in English, quite good, filled the place. The Dandies have also played at the Union Jack and have been good, also filled the concert room. And Thom, a soloist with an interesting play style. Not quite the same level as JK, levellers or the stranglers, but alright all the same. Just don't quote me on that too much if they are all crap!!
