Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Who, Where, What When 2024

Rashly, I will be back this year with both almost grown up children, Tristan and Esmeralda.
Tristan's first Le Mans was 2011 when he was 11, but this year will be my daughter Esmeralda's first - I'm sure we all remember our first trip.
Out from Pompey on the Tuesday night, back Sunday night.
Camping on Epinettes.
Unless I get the old M5 sorted quickly, including some potentially expensive engine work, it will be a very dull drive in a Ford Mondeo.

I do love Spyker cars. The interiors look like something out of Jules Verne 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. Also, was it back in 2010 that they split the Ferraris and Porsche at Me Mans in GTE?

Hi all! here we go again. It looks to me as though we will be vaccinating more than a few million a month. the pharmacy companies are saying there is no hold ups on supply. I'm feeling positive about this year. I heard that people are suggesting that when we come out of this we will all want to get back close and personal. Do we anticipate that there will be Le Mans ticket supply prob!ems?

Steve,
I’m sorry you’ve called time.
The race always needs well matched competition to be at its best. We all know that comes and goes. I think that LMP1 is at the end of a cycle. Manufacturer Hybrids are pricey.
The thefts get me down though. I think it’s coming from fellow campers not people coming in. Were you chairs inside? There does seem to be a view that if it’s not naked down and it’s out, then it’s good to go.
There is nothing like Le Mans - the size, length, devotion, but I think that you can do too much of anything (even beer), and you have to try something different or new.
I’m going to the Classic this year. I am very concerned that I will just yearn for LM proper, but I just might be wrong.

Wow, what a Festival of Speed. I cannot recommend this enough.
To anyone who has never gone this is a petrolhead garden party.
Is isn't about nail biting racing, it's about seeing cars to die for and being able to talk face to face to people behind them about the cars and races. This isn't an event to watch behind a 5m catch fencing, this is about up close and personal with people who were part of it.
It is not Le Mans and cannot replac it, it's the complete compliment to Le Mans.
If anyone is interested, the event gets live streamed and juicy bits are available on YouTube.
