No he didnt bring his Doris, worse than that, a gob shite of a mate of one of our usual team turned up, the usual team member was in on it, but the rest of us didnt know anything about it untill he arrived via TGV. What an irritating, mouthy git. Massive row on Friday night, spoilt the weekend. Every time he opened mouth I wanted to strangle the twat. I've been going for for 17 years with two of these guys and my son joined us 5 years ago. It was great, now wrecked. So my son and are are starting a new team with friends that wont decieve us. The others have sh*t out now, as I provide the Land Cruiser to get us there, and half the gear is mine as well. SOUND BITTER DONT I. WELL, I BLOODY WELL AM.

Hi, I'm a new member as well, have looked at the Club many times over the years but have just become a member. Still finding my way around the forum ( not very good at these thing, bit of a technophobe ) I have been to Le Mans 17 times in total, 5 times years ago before the kids came along and for the past 12 years consecutively. For the past two years I have taken my 26 year old son. I made it quite clear the first I took him, that I turned back into 20year old as soon as I get into the car to leave, and he thinks it great and gets on very well with the other 2 old old farts that I go with. If you are a true fan of LM, you can gain a lot from the other members, every body seems so eager to help one another out, re tickets info etc.

Dont know if you are still looking for parts or not. If you are, call an old mate of mine Paul Healey, he specialises in Amercan car restorations, his number was 07850671964 or 01342832560. Tell him you gor the number from Geoff at Riders bodyshop. If those numbers are no good, send me a reply, and I will dig around ang get latest ones for you.

I still say its a good idea to have a base & a place to sit down for an hour or so, great atmosphere at the start and great vantage point to view pit activity, especially at night.

Hi, I'm recently new to CA as well. but have been to LM many times now, once you do eventually go, you will never stop. My advise would be to join the ACO now, that way you will qualify for ACO member seats in the grandstand next year. Many people dont bother, but its good to have a perminant seat to go back to after walking round, its also got its own bar with ice cold beer.
