The old fun fair was good value, but you really had to be in the right mood for it.
We only tried the go karts the once, the same ones are featured on the film Le Mans, thats how old they are and they did not look new then! Once your time was up they put a barrier across the track, caught out a few people.
The strippers, well what can you say, about a 100 guys crammed into the back of a lorry to see some dodgy tarts. you really had to be there, it was hot and sweaty is all I can remember! Its bizzare to think that we even thought one was better than the other. Thats the power of beer for you.
I think some of the 'soul' went from LM when they moved (and castrated!) the fair. Go Karts - 30 'beered up' guy's and foot to the floor racing. What more fun can you have!? Then down to the strippers tent to release all that pent up tension................................

Bring back the 2 strokes! Now they are real SAABs.
Didn't they have a freewheel system, for running down hills? and I not talking about taking the car out of gear either!!! I believe they did. It was quite common up to the late 50's. My old Rover 75 'Cyclops' (wish I still had that!!) had the system. Get up to speed, find a gentle incline, and you could coast, literally, for miles.

I have to say that I had a fantastic several days with some fantastic people, but my best moment has to be the same as Andy Z's.
It was such a fantastic afternoon and being amongst so many people that were at Le Mans for their trip Andy and I were of course in our element, sharing tales of years gone by, other race tracks, how I stalked Johnny Herbert for years and forced his retirement, we had quite a crowd. A few of them seemed to wonder who we were, but most were more interested in who was sat with HRH Prince Michael of Kent. (I bet he didn't pay £1600 to be there either!!!)
As it got later in the day, and we consumed more Champagne in our small group of 10 people than the rest of the attendees put together, we were receiving far too much attention from people who seemed to be glaring at us as if to say "they shouldn't be in here" when Dave Richards walked straight up to us as he arrived and greeted us like best friends. The snobs hated it!!! I wouldn't be surprised if he asks Andy and I into the pits next year as we've been so lucky for him at Sebring at Le Mans. We declined a lift home in his helicopter.
For once I didn't sing Mustang Sally, but instead crooned a couple of ballads to the ensemble on the terrace as we sipped Champagne and my renditions of "You do something to me" and Lady in Red" have booked me a job at a wedding at Goodwood House later this year.
It was just such a disgrace that they ran out of Champagne at 7pm and we had to head back, but not before the trip down the pit straight. I didn't quite understand why the Security guards thought we shouldn't be there so tried to ram us into the pit wall but we all survived to tell the tale and it only took two minutes of my best French to save us from being arrested and to have the vehicle keys returned.
Slim, I think you've neglected to mention that you were in Aston Martin hospitality.

Couldnt you try phoning one of the numbers on the phone...say the most recently used one?
They might also have an ICE number listed... for emergencies.
F
Ah, as ever, as wise as you are beauteous - hang on, I said that a year ago and you still couldn't remember my name! But I did think of that, after my hangover cleared, but phone is dead, no charger fits, and I don't trust myslf to start levering panels off to try and put sim in another phone! Luckily I'm seeing mr JPC himself at the weekend. Either him or senior granddaughter will no doubt sort it out in a jiffy! Personally, I think the old tin can and lengths of string were a lot less trouble. That reminds me, I think my Luddite membership is about to run out.......................

Did the casual fleecy top have 'Weena' written on it? I guess not Afraid not Weena. I hope someone gets back to me re these items, or else I'll have to: 1/ find appropriate phone handbook and accessories (it's better than mine!) 2/ find camera to go with charger - also better than mine 3/ lose three stone(ish) in weight so jacket fits! Mmmm, I've no 'bumps' in front, so , maybee two stone......................

The JLOC car did not turn many laps at Le Mans so this is quite a rare shot....
I hate to tell you this, but that in fact is the latest thing in stealth aircraft from Italy! Look at it and you will see that with all extrusins retracted, you can't tell which way it's facing. And - it can travel just as fast backwards as forwards!!

A newly married couple were up in the honeymoon suite.
After a suitable time spent on foreplay (newly married!!) the groom starts to 'climb aboard' but his new bride stops him.
She says 'before we do that I have a confession to make - I used to be a hooker.'
The groom hesitates for a minute then says 'That's ok, past life, occupation, all in the past.'
'No, she says, you don't understand.'
'I used to BE a hooker - I played for Wigan!'

A few people have mentioned Leigh... I'd hope it wasn't any of the JPC team, and if it was would hope they'd own up considering the way we helped out last year. Believe me when I say, it was tough enough for us to get the funds together to get to Le Mans this year let alone cover repair costs/insurance excess of £100's Be assured Vicky; if it came from our camp the culprit will own up!

We had an egg land in our tent that came from the direction of where you moved to which I duly smashed on the Vecky. I think that the culprits may have been that lot but cant say for sure as I couldnt see that far by then.

I checked with Leigh the second I saw the message and he has assured me he only threw eggs at you! Confirmed; I saw nothing hit any car
