Hi guys,

A big thanks for all the advice and PM's, they got me thinking and started looking at other options.

Booked today

Tuesday Flight - Liverpool to Nante (mate gets me free parking at the airport)

Other mate picks me up from Nante airport and back to his farm nearby.

On to Le-Mans the next day just in time for Q1

Stay at Le-Mans till Sunday (another mates house just south of Mulsanne)

Sunday back to the farm, Tuesday get dropped back at Nante airport and a short flight home.

Jobs a good un...

A week ago I was looking at hitching, funny how things can change and friends come to the rescue.

Thanks again guys

Special thanks to Chris24 for his kind offer.

Hi Chris,

I might just be the person your looking for,

After a series of unfortunate events I too am travelling to le-mans alone, I however, have no transport so am looking for the most economical method of getting there. I'm in South Manchester so getting to the M6 is a lift off a mate and not a problem.

If the offer is still on, let me know and we can discuss the finer points.

Thanks

Hi all

In need of some advice regards best method of transport, due to circumstances beyond my control I am unable (and somewhat unwilling) to travel by car.

So, I need to get from Manchester to Le-Mans, should I?

Train to Dover, then ferry, then, train to le mans

or Coach to Dover etc...

or, use the tunnel

or, Try and hitch from Calais

Would really appreciate your views and experiences on your past travel arrangements.

Thanks in advance for your help in these most important matters, I've only ever driven with a group of friends before who aren't going this year.

Thanks for the input folks, I was busy printing the CA guide as I was typing so have not fully read it yet, I will scan through that and apply asap.

One thing I don't get is how I can be too late if they allocate in December, or do they allocate as you apply and only tell everyone in December?

Anyone stayed on one of the new camps inside the track?

Will Houx & Houx Annex be there in 09? Heard they were being built on

Thanks again

Hi Guys, a noob on this forum so Im sorry if these Q's are asked daily

We stayed with friends in Eccommy, (that spelling looks wrong) just south of mulsane, and that worked great, but I want to be at the track next year from first qualifying day, so want to book now,now a few questions

I want a pitch for a trailer tent, maison blanche looked good so thats probably full already or costs an arm and a leg, can anyone comment on that or recomend another spot?

Also, whats the best way to get a pitch, as I said I have friends in France so should I be sneaky and get them to book it over the phone with their address, (if you can do that)?

Should I just go straight to the ACO? And do I need to be a member to do it that way?

Does anyone use ticket agents? And which ones?

Any help or links to booking sites is greatly aprieciated

SO MANY QUESTIONS.................

Thanks in advance for any help given

8  Club Arnage / Just To Say Hi / Hi Guys on: June 18, 2008, 06:33:48 pm
Hi to all, Just registered with CA so better say hello

Just back from my third lemans, but only found out about CA from a South African hitch hiker we picked up at Tet and transported to parking blue, he was stood at the carpark gate with his thumb out and his 2008 CA guide in a very posh folder, so we helped.

It was the best time I've had at le mans and hope to maybe meet a few of you peeps next year, BUT, I need pointing in the right direction,

Please find my next thread in the Help section, (just give me a few mins to type it)

Thanks
