Leslie Cahoreau for me but it looks like Emmanuelle has won the crown.

Indeed, couldnt help but spot this the other morning  http://www.lemans.org/fr/courses/24h/actualites/Miss-24-Heures-du-Mans-Le-Maine-Libre-2011_3821.html a very respectable choice in my opinion

Ive thought about it before Phil but once at le mans, its about the time i remember that the tubes back on UK soil. Never had a problem with them in the car although this year im in a smaller vehicle so space will be harder to come by.

I can recall them being behind the grandstands now, the microphoned employee image triggered the mind again. I guess i must have passed behind the grandstand either at times when i havent wanted to carry the stuff around, later on when theyve gone, or after a bit of juice. I'll keep an eye out again this year.

The French newspaper, do they still do it firstly? and if so where abouts in Le Mans can you grab one from in Le Mans week.

Im not particularly bothered about the paper, its more the "victories" poster they use to bundle with it, showing all the previous winning cars and drivers, assuming the still produce it (otherwise i could walk into one of the supermarkets and grab a copy). The last poster ive got is from about 2006 so a bit dated. I remember they used to come around the campsites in a tranny van along with another newspaper (l'ouest?) to sell them. Ive not seen them at all in recent years though, infact the last time i got a copy it was from a stall outside Auchen.

If anyones seen them in recent years i wouldnt mind knowing where  Cheesy

Cheers.

Yeah, I never even thought about it and then 1 day .... oh   Roll Eyes. Doesnt really make a difference to me as long as it doesnt open too late, should be in LM for 8ish so could pop to Auchan/Carrefour first. Cheers Steve.

On a similar topic guys, this year i have to pick my tickets up from the ACO ticket office. Ive been going to LM since '99 but never had to pick tickets up before. Am i right in thinking to get to the ticket office you need to follow the road from MB as though you was going to Carrefour, under the dual carriageway and first left? Seem to remember theres plenty of parking around there.

Cheers,
Sam.

9  Club Arnage / So You Think You Know About Le Mans / Re: Safety Car? on: June 16, 2009, 01:42:27 pm
I cant answer your question but can add a similar themed and probably easier one. Do Peugeot now get the option to provide the ACO with safety cars for the 2010 race?

11  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: GM bankruptcy expected for Monday - Will the Corvettes race at LM? on: June 04, 2009, 02:33:56 pm
On Radio LeMans last night Oli Gavin said that the money had already been put aside for the vettes racing programme at Le Mans and that the trucks are practically there already, There will be no issue for this years event (as already confirmed) but they will have meetings regarding the future programmes.

13  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Audi R15 Le Mans racer revealed on: February 12, 2009, 12:25:02 pm
I wish they would put a roof on it, some of us oldies would , I am sure, like Audi's more if they did.

I was under the impression the R15 was going to be a closed top prototype  Undecided similar to the R8C (only more successful)
