1  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: who do you wanna see back? on: July 11, 2007, 05:38:47 pm
I'd like to witness Mclaren at LM again as that was the car that drew me into the race in the first place.

But if anyone was to return it would have to be a legendary team that have won before and want to add to their tally of overall wins like Porsche, Jaguar, Ford etc. In a Bentley style comeback.

Overall i think if it was a non British team then Porsche would be most welcome with me.
If it was British then i suppose Jaguar.

Sounds great that there are rumours of Japan manufacturers giving Le Mans another go!

I hope this comes true, some more front running competition would be great!

So what's the story with Honda?

What i enjoyed, everything!!!
Iv'e read a few forums that have moaned about lots of things and although i agree with most of it i still wont let it stop me remembering 2007 as a great event.

Main points -

The Ferry trip overnight and the build up to arriving at the circuit.
The driving on great French roads
arriving at the circuit after being away for 10 years
the weather, managed to get a decent tan between the rain
Seeing the Porche curves for the first time
experiencing he new layout on the run down from dunlop bridge
being woken up in Beausjour at 9am by the morning testing - best alarm clock ever
the quality of Radio Le Mans
the new village
the pit lane walk
the beer
the bbq
watching the start at the esses
Aston winning

and best of all managing to stop up for the whole race, 33 hours in total. Something ive always wanted to do. Witness the daylight return.

cant wait for next year.....

RLM are fantastic, such a great listen i never switched off all weekend. Without them i would be so lost as to what was going on.

Im keen to see the circuit again, great place im sure the fantastic atmosphere is still there!

Last time i was there it was Mclaren mania, seems such a long time ago now.

Hi all, ive just joined this site as i build up myexcitement for the 2007 Le Mans.

I havent been there in 10 years, although when i was in my teens i attended the 94,95,96,97 editions.

Cant wait to get back over there. Camping at the Porsche curves somewhere, never camped there before. Always been up near the Dunlop bridge.

Cant Wait!!!! Looking forward to supporting the Factory Astons
