That's the one and only advantage of not being at the track, you can watch the quali, listen to radio Le Mans and keeping up with the score....

I'm taking the TGV from Paris this year, usually I join some others by car, but this seems to be a fairly easy way to get to Le Mans. It's quite expensive too... (€ 198 return ticket from Maastricht (NL) to Le Mans via Brussel and Paris).

I find Eurostar from London to Brussels (and Paris) the easiest way to travel from / to the UK and you don't have to stand in line to check-in / collect your luggage.

Flying Pig Downtown is always getting good feedback from my friends, it's just minutes form the Central Station

Stayokay is good as well, but they only have 8, 12, 16 and 20 persons dormitory rooms

This year was my 2nd Le Mans, it actually feels like the first 'real' Le Mans.

Last year I arrived quite late at friday, I inmediately joined the party, en then their was the race and that was my Le Mans. This year I was there from sun to sun, and this was much more like it! I'll never go to Le Mans for just a weekend again laugh

I really eenjoyed the week, met a lot of great people, nice parties, good atmosphere (despite the rain), raised  quite a lot of money for charity, we had beer, and even more beer, race was quite good etc etc etc

According to Chamberlain, several Team Managers then approached the Race Director in a group with a strong posture, and the safety cars were immediately deployed.
That sucks, so because some teammanagers think it's getting too slippery they deploy the safety cars?

When you think it's too slippery, tell your driver to drive more slowly, it's as easy as that. You always have to find the right balance between speed and risk, espcially during rain.

And the more colourful version of it:
11  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Safety car usage at Le Mans on: June 20, 2007, 07:59:30 am
They shouldn't deploy the safetycar just for some rain, good drivers are able to drive under hard circumstances, especially in endurance racing, that's part of the job.

And Peugeot...it seems quite clear that the racedirectors would like to see a peugeot to finish at the podium, and what they did at the last lap makes me feel sick..
