Club Arnage / Help / Re: Maison Blanche pitch size

Thanks for the replies. Ii is over 5M, probably about 5.2m, but its difficult to measure, and that's not including the guide ropes. I wouldn't consider it a big tent, just a six person family tent. If you have to put the car on the plot where do the people go? The plots seem a little small to me I suppose you just have to hope your neighbors are considerate.

Club Arnage / Help / Maison Blanche pitch size
|
on: July 04, 2010, 03:22:29 pm
|
I haven't been to Maison Blanche campsite since they introduced numbered pitches. I have just put the tent up in the garden for a trial run (not used since Spa a few years ago and covered in Belgian mud!) and find it measures a little over 5M square. My question is, how tight are the numbered pitches and does it matter if you spill over a little? I have plot number J10 and looking at the map this pitch seems to be in quite an open area.
Also, is there electricity supplied still?

"These are WITHOUT general admission ( i need 3 more !)"
no problem for these you can always buy them at the circuit, there is no limit to thier numbers, they will never run out!
I think the face value of these is 92euros which is about £60, Also I really only need two and am not sure if 'johnevans3' is still looking for a ticket, maybe he could let me know?

jc_martin,
Thanks for the heads up on your tickets, but we're going to wait a little longer to see if ACO grandstand tickets might magically appear. If still in need closer to the weekend, and if you still have them, then... Thanks again!
johnevans3,
We'll keep that in mind if offered a block of 3 ACO, but don't wait for us. We're living dangerously...

Club Arnage / Help / Re:Driving Down South (UK)

Living in Kent and doing trips to the Birmingahm Manchester areas quite often, I would recommend the M40. Reason:- less junctions, so less chance of accidents causing hold ups. Then take the south way on M25
Got from Manchester to my place in 3 hours a few weeks ago and I am 45 minutes from Dover. But allow for double this time!!

Oh yea! forgot about the traffic from the autoroute. Now, I don't mind the sound of a Panoz keeping me awake at night but I do object to a Mercedes truck!

We camped at the Tetre Rouge last year, never again I still have the permit in the windscreen of the car to remind me of how bad things can get! Here's my list of problems:- Although were the third car on site on the Monday morning we still struggled to find a flat, rubble free pitch. We were robbed three times. Noise from the funfair. Dust, dust and more dust!! 40 minutes to get in and out through the crowds on race day. etc, etc. On the plus side a great view from the comfort of your tent, but not this year as I have heard there may well be temporay stands in the way We will be back in MB this year

Club Arnage / Help / Re:Still waiting?
|

No, I still have not received mine. I rang the ACO on Friday and was told that as I had not cancelled my previous order for MB tickets I was still on the waitng list for these, so no other tickets had been sent, strange French logic no doubt. The waitng list ended at the end of May and all remaining tickets will be sent this week.
Mine should be sent by UPS today, but I will phone them to check, they are very helpful on the phone so try giving them a call.
