The bus runs till midnight on Saturday and I think starts again at about 7am on Sunday. About 8 years ago we missed the last bus home from Mulsanne to the grandstands - it's a loooooooong walk due to the gendarmes closing the usual direct road route to the grandstands - something to do with some cars driving a little quickly I believe.  Grin
8  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: So who got done for speeding this year? on: June 19, 2007, 10:25:55 am
Two of Team Gulp Racing on their motorbikes got pulled on the N138 south of Sees, at about 5pm on Sunday.

They were riding in close proximity.

One got a €90 fine. The other got €750 fine and his license confiscated. The Gendarme decided they were travelling at different speeds - they didn't know enough French to be able to argue their case.

I'll be taking my 964 RS this year.

We're down on numbers this year but Team Gulp Racing will also feature a Morgan Plus 8, Renault Sport Clio172, a couple of motorbikes and a motorhome.

11  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Club Arnage - access problems? on: October 15, 2006, 10:19:24 pm
It'd be handy if people could note the exact error they are seeing when reporting it.

Smokie,

I'm not sure if it will help much but the attached screengrab is the error message I was getting in Firefox when either;

- trying to access the forum directly from my bookmark
- trying to access any other club arnage thread found by google

This error message would appear literally immediately on screen - it wasn't timing out, it didn't have a chance to.  As I said, not sure how much help this is as it seems to be the generic Firefox error message - can't load site / badly typed URL / etc.

When I tried to access the www.clubarnage.com home page I would get a glimpse of the page for a micro-second, then replaced with a blank window with the above error message.

It was as though my ISP was recognizing  a 'bad site' and immediately blocking it from loading up.
Anyway, glad to be back here again.  Grin
12  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Club Arnage - access problems? on: October 14, 2006, 11:17:46 pm
I've just managed to gain access to the CA forum (in fact any URL with the words clubarnage in) since being 'locked out' for about two weeks. It seems my browser or firewall or something just didn't like Club Arnage (kept getting access error messages - but ONLY for Club Arnage).

I tried checking my firewall and found nothing - then googled < Club Arnage Firewall > and the results are really quite worrying - now I'm no boffin but lots of sites have the words 'club' and 'arnage' alongside lots of other scary virussy and scammy looking stuff.

Anyone else had problems?

Thanks to Ferrari Spider I've managed to upload them to webshots. They can be viewed a little bigger now.

A bag of Le Mans grass and dashboard dust for anyone who can spot their tent.

More pics available to view in public album here

- is there a better way to post piccies? In photobox the viewer is very small and you can't see the detail (spot your tent or yourself) etc.
15  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Pics of circuit from helicopter... on: June 28, 2006, 06:58:32 pm
We went up in the 8 seater helicopter on Saturday at about 7pm. €78 per person, 10 minutes, 2 laps of circuit - well worth it!!
