As for the quality of campsites, the ACO make Dale Farm look like paradise.
They must realise that people won't put up with just a patch in a field. Even the music festivals are getting sophisticated
Yeah should have been on the camp site I found myself on at the 24hrs of Spa this year bud no tap or shitter anywhere near just a wet sloping rough patch of grass with peeps going into the woods for a dump.............not ideal in the dark lol

Good race guys, did look for you ca peeps at the bar but ended up back down at the hop (Bob Sinclar is in da house) does anyone know who did his warm up as his set was much better , what did amaze me is how steep Eau Rouge is viewed from the bottom when seen on tv it looks like a sweeping climb. Spa seems much more spectator friendly too with plenty of places to view and a more chilled atmosphere and less chavs. Chris

Ok so the Eau rouge bar will dig out a CA t-shirt, so is anyone camping on site or are you all in b+b/hotels? does anyone know if there are showers or any taps on site? Chris

Traffic around Brussels could be a mess, but on Saturday it should be ok. Another route is going through Antwerp, take the E313 direction Hasselt-Liege, and then get onto the E42 direction Verviers-Spa.
I'll get to the 'Ring first for a VLN race (Saturday 12-4 pm) and head onto Spa afterwards, should arrive there around 5.30 or 6. Not sure to stay overnight.
Cheers will check the map out for that route bud.

Alibongo,
Below carpark 3 there is a large flat area of tarmac by the toilets and showers, just outside the paddock area.
Try e-mailing the circuit and ask if you can park there.
I found them pretty helpful.
Andy
Hi Andy, defo worth a go many thanks and if anyone else has any top tips re parking/camping at Spa feel free to add Chris

At the risk of sounding 'wierd' I spent a lot of time analysing what it really was about Le Mans that was missing by not being there.
Watching the race on TV and listening to RLM covered one 'Part' of it But it’s everything else that goes with the race.
It’s the buildup that starts a couple of months before the race. It’s the early morning start for the ferry. It’s the ‘Traditional’ breakfast stop on the way down. It’s the run down to the circuit, and seeing all the ‘Familiar’ sights and knowing each one moves you nearer. It’s the campsite setup, the trips to Carrefour/Super U and just the experience of sitting there with the cars not far away… It’s wandering around at 3am during the race, cursing the fact that I don’t have a jumper with me, my feet are killing me and I’m knackered, but I’m still looking for new places to see the race.
It’s the intangible things that you can't replicate or explain properly that make the whole thing an event.
you forgot the gran marnier crepes manky frites at 2am watching down at tetre rouge or arnage
