Tertre Rouge was just about the same compared to previous years.
However we did lose the water supply for about 5 hours on Saturday afternoon which put the toilet and shower blocks out of action.
We managed to rope off a large pitch when we arrived on Wednesday Afternoon (We did have another Seven people coming down), Although if we'd been later then the team would have been dotted arond the campsite.
Security was good as usual, both from the French and from other campers, as the nutter in the Rover 2000 found out when he thought it would be a good idea to go for a drunken hoon up the campsite at 2am on Friday nigfht.

My Cobra - still not finished the gearbox conversion - extremely unlikely that it'll even get to the Classic
Dick's TR6 (first alternate) - engine rebuild / rebore ongoing - no update recently.

Steve now that you have dropped the auto trans.
Are you ready to put a bigger cam in that Poncho ?

Randy, that would bring an even bigger smile to my face than the car already does.  The Tin Indian needs the compression raising a bit too.  I'm thinking nice roller rockers / lumpy cam / about 9.5 :1 compression with some re-worked heads.

Steve,
Rearrange this well known phrase or saying..

Will you be using a Pro tree or a Sportsman tree?
And will you be allowing deep staging? Grin

Daft question, but how easy is it to get them off after the week.
My co car goes back just after Le mans this year...

They come off great with one of these Steve.

I'm dissapointed Steve..
That's a standard piece of kit....
Does anyone make a 455 Pontiac powered one..

Fairly standard from the 'uneducated' press...
I remember the review of Heart Like A Wheel, the Shirley Muldowney biopic.
The Times said it was the story of the first woman Formula One driver.

Even the specialist press get it strangely wrong though.
Motorsport News Sub-headline a short while back..

Danica Patrick, the worlds fastest female (sic)

Surely they mean 'the worlds fastest female whose name isnt Muldowney, Troxel, Force, Berstatd, Oberg, Callin, Nystad, Jacobsen etc, etc etc...'?

56  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Coolest Disabled Transport in the UK? on: May 09, 2008, 09:38:26 am
This was parked in the disabled bays in my locals car park last weekend.

Detail was fantastic and paint was faultless.

How cool Grin

Belongs to a guy called Paul Dawkins, I think he's from the Pompey area but I may be wrong..
Nice guy

58  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Tata Motors to buy Jaguar on: April 02, 2008, 02:23:23 pm
Just a thought,
With Aston now owned by Prodrive and therefore not in the Ford stable and Jaguar owned by Tata and not in the Ford stable that would mean no 'conflict of interest' in bringing Jaguar and the GT into endurance racing as 'Factory' teams... Smiley

Does UBL 956 on the Zodiac qualify?
OK, it's a stretch, but it does have Le Mans connotations..   Grin

Sign up for the newsletter Nelis,
Although ACE is UK based, a lot of the legislation comes, initially, from the EU, so it has an effect across borders.
