Title: money no object Post by: Nordic on July 08, 2009, 05:43:51 pm I am sure we have all thought of having a money no object car collection.
Love him or loathe him chris evans, the ginger haired loud mouth radio presenter has been able to collect what to my mind at least a pretty impressive collection, so i have slightly changed my stance, even if he paid well over the odds for the 'coburn' car, its his money. You may have heard his radio 2 show last week when he organised a charity trip in classic Ferraris to goodwood, what I did not realise was he was using his own cars! so kudos to him, not many owners would allow a family member to drive a beloved 288 GTO or F40 or even a pristine 250 lusso, let alone people who had bid in an auction. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/chrisevans/2009/07/hi_guys.shtml shame they are white. Title: Re: money no object Post by: Bentley boy on July 08, 2009, 10:10:55 pm Chris Evans was at Brooklands for the Auto Italia day this year. one of my mates spoke to him very nice bloke.

Evans has been dipping into his fortune again! Title: Re: money no object Post by: Martini...LB on May 14, 2010, 09:11:44 pm I thought, obviously quite wrongly, that he was supposed to be a bit skint - obviously not.
Lucky blighter. Further to Leftie's comment above I was surprised the other day when I saw him in an interview then subsequently listened to him on the radio, not quite the dick that he has been made out to be recently. >Martini...LB Title: Re: money no object Post by: Lorry on May 14, 2010, 11:15:50 pm He's been robbed (quite easy I assume)
The picture isn't a real 250 GTO, its a tipo 64 250GTBLM (I get lost with the letters) a far prettier car IMHO, and you know its as quick as a GTO Wasn't it an attempt to fool the ACO into thinking that the similarly styled but rear engined 250LM was much the same and hence wasn't a prototype Title: Re: money no object Post by: Lord Pig-Pen on May 14, 2010, 11:46:26 pm I second Lorry on that.... still a rather sexy set of wheels none the less!
Title: Re: money no object Post by: Brad Zarse on May 17, 2010, 10:41:36 pm To be fair - I wouldn't give a toss. I adore the 250 GTO in all of its (many) guises....the thought makes me weak at the knees.....LOVE IT!
