Post by: mike(liverpool boys) on June 04, 2009, 02:21:04 pm
What will you all be listening to on the drive down this year???

Some classic driving tunes or the rumble of your exhaust notes???

Make the most of it this year LPP, next year in the Popemobile, the only music you will hear will be from the engine of the TeaCake (TK.)

Do you mean she's going to punch the stereo every few seconds hoping to find something decent on the radio (before a torrent of abuse at how $hit the music is) or are you going to be subjected to Europoptrash on the Ipod?

If I had any sympathy in me you could have some ... but I haven't.   >:D

I shall be listening to whatever Steve Z has on his Ipod - most of which I like.    8)

Gordon Brown's resignation speech

(Not original but too good to miss)

And PP, that 406 should only have a cassette player - I wouldn't have thought Lady PP had any cassettes.  And you can keep turning the volume down from the steering wheel

Some of it is Dansih, and maybe not known outside the danish border.

But the first playlist lokks like this:

Ramstein  Los
Darude  Sandstorm
Uncle Cracker  Follow me
Dj Ballon  Pussylovers
Metallica  Enter sandman
Lucy Love  Daddy was a DJ
DAD  Monster Philosophy
ACDC  Thunder
Timbaland  The way you are
Ataf  Kig frem
Daft punk  Tehcnologic
Black Eyed peas  Boom Boom
U2  Vertigo
Jooks  Hun vil ha en rapper
Verano  Disc-o-tec
Metallica  Whiskey in the jar
Ramstein  Reise Reise
DJ Ballon  Technorocker

That's for starters. When driving from Denmark, with a...caravan...then it's a 20 hour trip. Sucks, but driving at night through Belgium is great, with the illuminated freeway, great idea. But then you're getting tired, and need good, loud, music!

The sound of cases of stubbies and bottles of wine clanking away in the back of the car - much better than anything that comes out of the stereo   ;D

Maybe play a CD or two of KBW

Will be listening to various stuff and as I am driving alone I won't have to listen to anyone elses choice :D

It has always been tradition that we set off to Battleship Chains by the Georgia Saterllites so I will still do that despite being Billy No Mates

A symphony of moving parts and combustion ;D

Whilst I am turning up the volume to mask the cacophony of a straight 4 turbo diseasel.

Ahh - ipods

I remember one year, had my iopd full of songs and great music. had one of those early FM tranismiters as well.

Worked perfect in the UK.

Got to france and where the transmitter was set at a certain FM wave band, was a really crap french radio station. That transmitter had to be change by software on the ipod itself, which I had not loaded or even new about.

So all the way and back I had 2 x CD's in the car. One was crap (minds blanked it out) and the other was:
Which i listen all the way there and back in France.

Now every year I have to play that CD with out fail.

Will not ever give up my day job to be a DJ.  ::)

It is the Vecky going down as its now fixed and insured for the duration of the trip for £29 :o
She has a rather nice Alpine CD and Ipod transmitter thingy.
I bought a load of old skool hardcore cds off ebay the other day so we may be listening to Ellis Dee, Micky Finn, Sy and Groove Rider...  ;D

With 5 Melans in the car this year (or 10 which ever way you look at it), we're going to struggle with music.  2 love gay music, they'd sing with hairbrushes I think if we let them!  the other like ROCK...

As driver/co-ordinator (in the main) we're going for ROCK, we're starting the playlist at the weekend

I'm sure it'll contain - Metallica, Foo Fighters, System of A Down, Machine Head, Green Day, Feeder, QOTSA, Stereophonics, Pearl Jam, U2 etc etc etc...

Can't wait!!!!

If I were actually driving, my list would be close to that.  Of course, if there was anyone else in the car, that would only last about an hour.

Just by looking at the tunes above, I've decided that you are all a bunch of old soap dodging hippies. I'll be right up there with the latest mp3's ripped from Britain's Got Talent with Susan Boyle topping the list. As top foxy (plastic) MILF Demi Moore says 'Britain's Got Talent's Susan Boyle moved me to tears' (http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/tv_and_radio/article6097705.ece). f**king coffin dodgers, get with the scene. Pass me the 8 track.

since me and Riert are responsible for the music in my car this year it will be everything from Metallica and Nirvana to Saliva, Therapy?, Soundgarden, Offspring, Green Day, Incubus, Life of Agony, Guano Apes, Deftones and Enter Shikari

ofcourse we will not forget all the 90's classics, which will be well known from last year's wednesday party

and some Dutch Classical music from Osdorp Posse, Opgezwolle, Heideroosjes, Stef Bos, Green Lizard, De Staat, the Gathering, Trockener Kecks, Van Halen (being patriotic here :D)

don't forget the road classics: Bob Seger, Whitesnake, 16 Horsepower, Bon Jovi, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Boss, The Who, Iron Maiden, Cypress Hill, Wu Tang Clan, The Cure, Led Zeppelin, Madrugada, Simple Minds, Queensryche, Ugly Kid Joe, Supertramp, Simon and Garfunkel and Focus

and then the obsure stuff from Riert, from Fear Factory and Slayer to Sepultura, Gorefest etc

Ok - for all you old ones that struggle with Ipods and mp3 players and computers to download and load on them.

Keep it simple - you need one of these (http://designcrack.com/v2/wp-content/plugins/hot-linked-image-cacher/upload/core77.com/blog/images/0highway-hi-fi-phonograph.jpg)

anybody ever have one?

beeing driving from Denmark it will proberly  be 3 - 4 Audi wins and 1 for Bentley and a BMW

Hej PedersenKorsager - hyggeligt med endnu en dansker herinde!

I've just made a little chance in the playlist - for the morning hours, Ive just downloadet the RadioLeMans from last year - the hours from 3 to 7 in the morning - yes, that'll bring the right Le Mans spirit to the driver behind the wheel.
