I did an "on the day" renewal last year and it was quite easy but you have to a) make an appointment in advance and b) be sure to remember to write down the reference number they give you over the phone. I forgot to do this and had to phone France from a public call box to get my o/h to look it up for me. ::) Telling them my name and address etc was not sufficient. Title: Re: black 1998 passport renwal Post by: smokie on June 03, 2009, 07:26:00 pm Bloodworm, you'd do much better to call the Passport Office to get an answer to this. It'd be quicker, and reliable (despite the depth of knowledge often displayed here)
You can get them on 0871 875 6863 Title: Re: black 1998 passport renwal Post by: Robspot on June 03, 2009, 08:05:48 pm May I politely inquire what led you to ask your question on this forum, a forum centred around attending a motor race in France on 13th June (this year), when you will be in Rhodes with your mother at that time?
??? Title: Re: black 1998 passport renwal Post by: Lawnmower Man on June 03, 2009, 09:00:39 pm A very good point Robspot.
I have to admit that since you point that out I'm inclined to removed the thread and his other posting. However, I'll leave it to Smokie or Steve.  t. Title: Re: black 1998 passport renwal Post by: Robspot on June 03, 2009, 10:08:05 pm No need to remove it, I just thought it an odd thing to do. Joining a forum you appear to have no interest in just to ask a question you could have got a better answer to from the proper authorities.
Maybe I'm just being picky seeing as I'm not going this year. No, that's not the case. I'm always like this ;D Title: Re: black 1998 passport renwal Post by: bloodworm45 on June 03, 2009, 11:28:19 pm robspot, yes i do like ,car/bike racing ,but when i see post for general information,i thought i would try on here, after speaking to passport office i got 2 answers ! ???first said no i cant !!!! second booked me an appointment so was trying to save a wasted journey up london..... many thanks for the answers
