Well it's always been a voluntary effort. So, anyone volunteering?

(Could be worth sounding out how many prospective sales - could be down a bit this year due to non-attendees)

I've held off proposing 2009 T-shirts for a of reasons:

a) Last years 'debacle' soured the pitch somewhat

b) As Smokie has said, the numbers may be well down this year.

An order of 100+ is really required - the price break between orders of 50-99 and 100+ is (or was) quite dramatic.

I'm more than happy to organise them again, provided the numbers are there.  I would not use the same printer as last year, nor anywhere that uses the 'heat transfer' method of printing.  Whilst these were relatively inexpensive, especially considering the various options I offered which made every shirt virtually unique, the colours were not fast and soon faded.  We live and learn   :-\ :-\

I would go back to the 'screen print' method, which are more expensive.  I havn't looked recently, but I should imagine we're talking of around £15 per shirt - depending on the number of colours used.

I'll do some investigation and get some prices.

In the meantime, post here how many shirts you would take if it goes ahead.  I will take 6-7 shirts.

Mike

In actual fact, we're already 6 weeks or so past the 'start-date', and as such, there will be no chance of organising these and getting some printed in time for Sebring

Given the outstanding support I have received here during the last 5 months, I would be a bit of a churl (that's the printable version) not to proudly wear a CA shirt in 2009! Make that two for the termites, please!

Can they have National Flags and Names if required like last year?

I have a great contact for T shirt printing down Yorkshire way- he does all the replica decals for my vintage bike collection and his work is spot on. Will run it past him and PM you Del

I have got some quotes for screen printing the T-shirts, and, using the '2-beers' shirt of 2006 as a guide, I would be able to sell these at £13 per shirt.  This includes postage, and a bit for the CA server fund.

But..this is for a quantity of 100+ shirts, and at the moment, there have been 'pledges' of 50, and at this quantity, they would work out £1 to £2 more.

So, is there any more takers??

I'll start a separate design thread to get the ball rolling anyway.

Del
