Title: Chrysler Stops Production.

This is probably good news if it were not for the viper, but then that is probably made elsewhere under a different contract.

What are we talking about, for life or  just over Christmas?

Read that it's not just USA thats having fun.

Merc - down to a 4 or 3 day week, up to March 09

Aston - Extending Chrismas Shut down - from 2 weeks to 4 weeks.

GM - Astra - Ellesmere Port,  extending shut down period, offering extened time off, looking to reduce all costs.

And I'm sure there is more.

2009 is going to be not very bright, so far.

Even the factory where your little pile of premature scrap was produced is cutting production with shorter weeks, no overtime, and a longer than usual christmas break.

Will you be after another RHD car, or might it be a little more 'european' (If you get your payout in Euros, it really will be worth getting one over here atm.)

Toyota are apparently on track to make a loss of one billion dollars this year. Serves them right for making reliable motors, If only they made cars that wore out and broke down on a regular basis like Jag and Land rover, then maybe they'd, oh, hang on....

One good thing to come out of your accident Deb is that the insurance payout on your Micra is probibly a lot more than it would have been worth as a trade in now that no-one is buying cars.

This is true.  In fact I got more than I was offered for it by the dealer a year ago.
