Title: London Drinks in November Post by: Andy Zarse on November 05, 2008, 06:57:28 pm I'm meeting my northern pal Byron up west in London lunchtime-ish on friday 14th November.
No firm plans just yet, but it probably will involve an ocean of ale and a trip to our very own gentlemen's club - The India Club - on the Strand for a lovely curry (home of the Curry Club of Great Britain). Interest has been expressed from various quarters, including Russ and the Brethren, so if anyone cares to join us let me know and I'll cut you in on the deal. Title: Re: London Drinks in November Post by: jpchenet on November 10, 2008, 02:48:34 pm Trying to be in London for a meeting to ensure early arrival. Worst case scenario is I'll be stuck in the office near Oxford 'til 5.30 in which case I won't be up to London until about 7.30/8.00pm but I will be there!

Title: Re: London Drinks in November Post by: Andy on November 11, 2008, 10:58:53 pm Just seen this thread. Title: Re: London Drinks in November Post by: Bob U on November 12, 2008, 11:31:59 am got to get train at about 11 - midnight As late as that? I thought Cookham locked its gates at 10pm ;D. Title: Re: London Drinks in November Post by: Rusty on November 13, 2008, 08:16:47 am Monsieur Zarse asked me to post details for all of those who have not had the pleasure of the 'Lamb and Flag'.
33, Rose Street, Covent Garden, London WC2E 9EB. Rose Street is a small cobbled lane linking Garrick Street ans Floral Street. There is also a small alley way linking through from Long Acre to Floral Street if coming down from Covent Garden tube. See attached map if you're still confused. Closest tubes/train stations are Charing Cross, Covent Garden and Leicester Square. Can't advise on buses as I don't know how they work. Rendezvous time is from 15.00 See y'all there. Title: Re: London Drinks in November Post by: Andy Zarse on November 15, 2008, 02:20:22 pm It was a terrible terrible night but a great turnout and a curry in the India Club. Got home, via the local, far too late and with far too much to drink inside us.
Really great to see everyone, so thanks guys! Title: Re: London Drinks in November Post by: jpchenet on November 15, 2008, 02:31:57 pm As Bob said, "we don't do this enough!"
