Title: 2009 Dates Post by: Queen Vic of the Melans on October 13, 2008, 02:16:30 pm Hi everyone, I've not been keeping in touch with everything here lately. I've just been lurking to keep in touch with Debs progress... Are there any dates set for next year yet? Would I be right in thinking it's looking likely to be the 13th/14th June for LeMans? QV
Title: Re: 2009 Dates Post by: Barry on October 13, 2008, 03:50:35 pm That seems to be general consensus at the moment Vicky.
Title: Re: 2009 Dates Post by: Bob U on October 13, 2008, 03:53:12 pm I have been sent a Page & Moy tour brochure for next year that advertises the date as 13th/14th and nowhere does it say that this is only provisional.
Title: Re: 2009 Dates Post by: Robbo on October 13, 2008, 11:22:41 pm I think the ACO are announcing the dates on November 15th

One must get one's priorities right. Must book the ferry before they up the prices. Title: Re: 2009 Dates Post by: smokie on October 21, 2008, 02:41:39 pm Speedferries have just mailed me offering a 10 trip voucher for £250 (or 6 for £168). Offer valid till 3 Nov. £50 return- can't be bad! I think these tickets would have 2 year expiry, so you could get 2009 and 2010 from them! You'd have to book early and make sure you didn't miss the boat though...

Title: Re: 2009 Dates Post by: smokie on October 21, 2008, 11:42:41 pm I believe you can book overheight in advance, for an additional fee. Just like you can book over-length - which we failed to do one year and got bounced on arrival.
Good point tho. Title: Re: 2009 Dates Post by: Nobby Diesel on October 22, 2008, 10:21:25 am I can't see the Classic listed on there.
Does the Classic and the LM Story alternate? Title: Re: 2009 Dates Post by: Ade on October 22, 2008, 11:02:06 am I can't see the Classic listed on there. It would appear so:Does the Classic and the LM Story alternate? "4th-5th July – LM Story Every odd year LM Story is back on the calendar with races on the Bugatti circuit for the delight of lovers of historic racing. In 2007, 350 cars took to the track for 17 races divided up into 9 groups. Clubs of historic vehicle collectors of all makes and types will be part of the 2009 programme as well as a large assortment of Alpines." http://www.lemans.org/sport/sport/actu/2008-10-21_GD_3601_gb.html (http://www.lemans.org/sport/sport/actu/2008-10-21_GD_3601_gb.html) Ade Title: Re: 2009 Dates Post by: Steve Pyro on October 22, 2008, 11:08:53 am I can't see the Classic listed on there. Title: Re: 2009 Dates Post by: knetter on October 23, 2008, 05:01:00 pm At least you can divide it by 10, so it is still only 8 per melan, sounds reasonable to me :P
