We have just returned from an enjoyable lunch with JPC.
Only to have recieved some grim news, Lisa, RS2 Babe, has sadly passed away, her son Elliot has phoned me and has requested that I post the news on the forum.
No details are known at this time, apart from the Funeral is this coming Friday, at 1200, at St Annes, Ormskirk, Lancashire.
RIP Lisa.
Brian.

Just returned home from a trip to the USA to read this sad news.
I am on holiday all week so will try to get to the funeral to pay respect from all Club Arnage members, since I am within a 45 minute drive away.
Do you think the CA shirt will be appropriate ?
Regards
Chris

That is very shocking news... I'm speechless at this moment.
My deep condolences to the family.
RIP RS2 Babe

Just heard this sad news from Ian (liverpool) and I'm gutted. My deepest condolences to Elliot and the rest of her family. RIP Lisa, gone but not forgotten.

Jeez, I'm totally shocked. Poor Lisa.
Chris, I'm sure Lisa would have loved that, so I say wear the shirt, maybe a polo if you've got it? Clearly the majority of us southern CAers won't be able to get along to the funeral, so I propose that you and the Lpool boys etc should formally represent the rest of us.

Very sad news indeed.
Met her at LM 06,enjoyed meeting and partying with her.
Sucks, life cut short for someone so young and viberant.
Randy
ps.Please pass along my thoughts and prayers to her son for me.
-
Really sad news I am totally shocked! One of the great people I knew from my earlier days in Le Mans. Please pass on my condolences.
-
Very sad news indeed and thoughts are with her family and son.
The sight of Lisa's matching tent, wellies and umbrella added a certain memorable je ne sais quoi to MB one year. :)

What the....
Speechless - Seriously have no idea what to say - Lisa was one of the loveliest people on the Le-Mans scene, and I'm shocked at this news to say the least. My thoughts go to Elliot and the rest of the family.
RIP Lisa - We'll not forget you (mainly because it is nearly impossible!)
-
Can I propose a minutes silence this friday at 11am in honor of lisa?
-
I've got no words. This is a terrible tragedy.
My thoughts are with your family Lisa.
-
Terrible news, my deep condolences to her family
We should all raise a glass on her on friday
-
ive never met Lisa but she was a memeber of CA so RIP and thoughts are with the family.
Friday i am in work and can not make the funeral but i will be having a minutes silence and be wearing my CA tshirt in remembrance :)
-
How sad, Lisa was a true Le Mans character, always up for a laugh and forgetting the crap from the rest of the year. Deepest condolances to Elliot, her family and closer friends.
-
I'm absolutely stunned.
My condolences to her family and all who knew her well.
-
Oh dear, I'm terribly sadenned by the news. If anyone is going to the funeral please ask discreetly if the family are requesting donations to a charity and I'm sure that none of us would mind chipping in.
One minute's silence 11am Friday then.
What a sad day indeed.
-
What truly terrible news. I supplied Lisa with her MB camping ticket for a number of years, she was great fun and will be missed by us all.
RIP.
-
Lost a friend the other week, and now to hear about RSbabe - Lisa.
Life is so short - (and bloody unfair)
Working on Friday on the roof of QVC Liverpool, so at that heignt I should be able to see Lancashire and will wear my CA T-shirt and will have a min silence for her. And then in the evening raise a glass of Leffe in her honour.
My condolences to her family.

It shows that life can change in an instant, you never know what is around the corner. We found this out first hand on my holiday last week. We were sat around the pool chatting to a couple that have saved for two years to come to the race that we were going to. They had flown to TN from Denver and had full hospitality tickets. Next minute the husband had an major attack and nearly died in the chair and they missed the whole race weekend as a result. They are still in hospital miles from home and don't know what is wrong with him. But it shows that your life can change in an instant.
-
I don't know what to say, but I'll keep a minute of silence on friday, and hoist to her rememberence in the evening....
Life can be so F*ck'n unfair!
-
Goes without saying that this is terribly sad news...
Godspeed Lisa
-
my condolences, have nothing more to add... :(
-
R.I.P. Lisa.

I just cannot believe what im reading.Im totally shocked and upset beyond words

You are fondly remembered.

I've never met Lisa, but my condolences to her family.
-
Likewise shocked to read this. I did not know Lisa well but had the pleasure of meeting her briefly a couple of times. She seemed to be a very vibrant personality.
My condolences to the family.
R.I.P.

Shocking news. A great member of CA and always a good laugh and really bubbly even though I didn't know her well. Some great memeries of her and a chain mailed mate at the poo bar a few years back!

Such sad sad news. Our thoughts are with her family

Very sad news to read about a fellow CA member and someone who clearly loved Le Mans. I only met Lisa a few brief times, but every one makes me smile. RIP and my thoughts are with all her family. I will raise a glass on Friday. Vicky x

As Brian said, having had a very pleasant lunch together it was a total shock to hear this terrible news.
My thoughts are with Elliott and all of her family and friends.
-
I only met Lisa briefly at the Poo Bar a couple of years ago but even after a short time I realised that her enthusiasm for Le Mans was infectious.
My deepest sympathy to all her family. Will raise a glass to her memory on Friday
-
Sad, sad, sad news. What happened? As well as those who knew her personally and will miss her as a result, I am sure that many, many other CAers will miss the wit, repartee, smiles and chuckles that her posts brought to us all.

Very shocked by this sad news.
The world and LM will be a less fun place without Lisa's infectous humour, when she was last at LM in 2007, she was about the only person who had a smile on thier face whenever I saw her, despite the horrible weather.
R.I.P.
-
I never had the pleasure of meeting Lisa but after reading the comments left here it seems the world (and Le Mans) will be a poorer place.
This tread seems to be a fitting tribute to a fine lady.
RIP
-
As you were you will always be,
Treasured in our memory.
Such a shame, R.I.P
>Martini...
-
I echo everyone else's words and send my condolences to Elliott and those close to Lisa.
We'll crack open a special bottle to her at the Poo bar next year.
-
My heart felt condolencies and thoughts go out to elliot and her family she was a vibrant fun person and will be sorely missed!!
-
Leigh from Team JPC is going to drtive up on Friday for the funeral and take a floral tribute from us.
Is anyone else definitely going?
-
I will be there to also represent all from Club Arnage
-
That's terrible news. Lisa was a lovely character. Met her last year. R.I.P. Lisa

Very sad news.
The two years at lemans that i've met her where fun.
She was my partner in crime at '06, I remember me and Lisa at the poo bar putting TWAT stickers on everybody.
We had such a laugh.
I'll drink a beer for her tonight.
My thoughts are with her family.

Hi All,
I finally get round to registering on here but not under the circumstances i would have liked.
Lisa was a great girl who I will miss dearly, she was always giggling and laughing and could brighten up any day.
Myself, Brian and both Chris's attended the Funeral. It was a nice if not emotional service. Elliot did a great job and will hopefully stay in touch with me and Brian.
I took flowers on behalf of myself, JPC and Club Aranage
And thanks again Brian for your help
R.I.P babe x

I never met Lisa, but she obviously made a big impression on here.
RIP. My thoughts are with those left behind.
Thanks chaps for representing CA.
-
The least we could do since we are local. Apart from Leigh who had travelled quite a distance to be there. Just annoyed that i got stumped within a mile of the church by road works which meant i arrived after the service had started.
It was a nice service if there is such a thing and Elliot did well not to totally break down during his reading for Lisa.
It was apparent that the bubbly personality that we all knew at Le Mans, was also present in the rest of her every day life.
She will be sadly missed by many.
Regards
Chris
-
Such a shame, there will always be a chip out Le Mans without Lisa's personality.
Does anybody know what happend to cut short such a vibrant lady?
-
As of yet, we still don't know. We didn't feel it was the right time today to ask Elliot. Hopefully he will let Brian know in a few days time when he has had time to work things out.
-
this is terribly sad
I only met her at the poo bar when she was "atwatting" t'other year but what an awful loss for her family.
Thanks for going to the funeral for us all guys
RIP Lisa, have fun where you are love
As Gary suggests, I think a special bottle at the poo bar next year would not be out of order so we can raise a special toast to her memory
God bless
-
What a loss, Lisa was a great person. My condolances to family and friends...
-
I am new to CA so I have never had the opportunity to meet Lisa. But the friendship that is shown in all these replies show she was a good friend to many people.
Please pass on my condolences to hew family an d all who knew her.
Eddie.
-
Blimey, what awful news. I wasn't around at the end of last week to see this and at 11am on Friday was at Brands running the DTM meeting so I guess I had a minutes worth of race car engines not silence, but it was probably as appropriate for Lisa.
I didn't know her very well, but had met her at LM over the last few years.
Thanks to the guys who represented CA at the funeral, condolences and thoughts to Elliott and to the rest of her family.
-
I had the same call as Brian, only I was in the wilds Scotland at the time and only got back last night. What a bloody shock, she will be missed.
Mike

OM - Gobsmacked is just an understatement.
Lisa will be sadly missed as one of the bubbliest persons to don LeMans.
Deepest condolances to all the family.
I will definatly raise aglass in her memory.

R.I.P another great Le-Mans Person that will be missed

I didn't know Lisa, but after my near-death experience in the form of termie termite's very narrow escape, I am desperately sorry for those around Lisa, and her CA friends. Death & calamity strike where we least expect them, and the horrid ripples spread over a very big pond. Delighted that CA reps made a show at the funeral. As I've said recently, this forum proves itself to be a great deal more than talk.
