We went up to Hyde Park Yesterday to see off 2 of our mates that come to Le Mans.
They have entered in the crazy "Mongolian Rally",The whole point of the rally is to buy,beg or steal an old banger and drive it to Mongolia.
There are no rules or fixed route apart from you have to drive a car less than 1 litre,although a couple of old ambulances and a double decker bus also entered at great cost in charitable donations to the designated charities,.....all you have to do is get there.
So lets hope Mark and Chris make it in their "Pink" Fiat Sceinto
I know that they made it to the party somewhere near Prague tonite.
Iwill post some pictures when I can reduce them in size of Saturdays send off.

I've met some of those guys driving that rally when I was on my way home from my holiday in England 2 years ago. Sounded like a lot of fun!

Hi Marius,
When I eventually post some pictures from the weekend ........i'll put the photo's of the Dutchies who were entered as well as some of the other entrants from Ireland,Poland and even one from somewhere in the far east(didd'nt recognise the numberplate.
Mark has seen some of the fun as he did the Plymouth to Dakar 2 years ago and .......just wanted another go before he gets married next year!!!
He has stocked up on porn mags,snickers bars,mars bars and cigaretts and cigars for bribing border post officials as and when they have problems crossing borders.
