Title: Camping "passes" for next year. Post by: skorpio on August 01, 2003, 07:17:21 pm It's me again, bet you thought I'd buggered off and gone ;) no such luck ;D I warned you all that I'd have loads of questions :o
Anyway my latest Q is about ticket allocation, I've emailed to ticket@lemans.org requesting 20 passes and all I've had in return is confirmation that the "mail has been displayed on the recipients computer" that was 2 weeks ago, is this normal? has anybody got any sort of idea when/if I'll hear anything? The reason I ask is that reading the thread about CA passes there's a remark about them having to be paid for within 2 weeks of notification, so I want to make sure that I have the money. Or if I can't get an allocation is there any chance that I/we could buy some of the CA ones? thanks in advance. Title: Re:Camping "passes" for next year. Post by: Steve Pyro on August 01, 2003, 08:28:41 pm All you'll get (eventually) at the moment from the ACO is a letter acknowledging receipt of your request for camping etc.
(Looking at my letter of 9/7/03) there is no indication when they will post notification of allocations and the request for payment, but it's usually from about September onwards. Just sit tight, and worry like the rest of us. ;D ;D Title: Re:Camping "passes" for next year. Post by: RobP on August 03, 2003, 10:24:11 am Try faxing them. I sent a fax to order some camping tickets and got a posted letter (standard responce) in reply the very next day.

I emailed a request for a single pass, I got the confirmation that you have, then a few weeks later I got a letter in the snail mail the same as everyone elses. Did you include your postal address in your email? Give it a couple more weeks and if you've not had anything, send another email. :) Title: Re:Camping "passes" for next year. Post by: gibberish on August 07, 2003, 02:10:01 pm Experience form this year suggests that no matter when you order the tickets they will not issue a demand for payment until quite close to the race. You then have two weeks to pay.......I think. that's certainly what happened with the camping permit.
Title: Re:Camping "passes" for next year. Post by: gibberish on August 07, 2003, 02:12:03 pm Sorry got that a bit wrong. I've already reserved next years camping place, but they said that I have to pay within two weeks of receiving the invoice, which I expect to arrive sometime next year.
