Title: boats cancelled! Post by: vqdave on June 03, 2008, 12:23:57 pm good old speedferries have mailed us this week letting us know both or boats in and out are now cancelled.
Outbound not so bad as our 9:30 pm has been changed to 6:30 pm, not ideal for me but do-able, but our return on Monday has been swapped for tuesday!! Like i can swing an extra day away!! In discussions with the pirates to see what we can sort out. Title: Re: boats cancelled! Post by: Nobby Diesel on June 03, 2008, 01:29:49 pm What time on the Monday was your crossing?
This could really mess things up! Title: Re: boats cancelled! Post by: termietermite on June 03, 2008, 01:44:23 pm Their website suggests that the final crossing is not running at all through most of June.

Title: Re: boats cancelled! Post by: geoffd on June 03, 2008, 01:51:10 pm Does this affect the July crossings from Poole? You'll have to check with Brittany Ferries on that one. Title: Re: boats cancelled! Post by: Lazy B'stard on June 03, 2008, 02:56:16 pm Might have to borrow Mr Zarse's nuclear powered piss boiler after all then. Bastards.
Title: Re: boats cancelled! Post by: Robspot on June 03, 2008, 03:42:36 pm Does this affect the July crossings from Poole? Eh? ??? Speedferries don't sail from Poole. If you've booked Speedferries from Poole then I think you'd better make other arrangements sharpish :o Title: Re: boats cancelled! Post by: Lazy B'stard on June 03, 2008, 05:20:12 pm Yup you're right, having a welding gas induced memory lapse. Its Speedferries a month later for family hols. Its good ol Condor from Poole next month. Piss boiler no longer required.
Title: Re: boats cancelled! Post by: garyfrogeye on June 03, 2008, 09:49:20 pm Mine seems to have remained unchanged (at the moment) out on Thursday 10.45 and back Monday 20.50 I'll keep my fingers crossed.

So actually saved a few beer tokens too! Title: Re: boats cancelled! Post by: jamiebae on June 05, 2008, 08:10:59 pm They're a bunch of useless b*startds. I just bought a 10 ticket voucher because the late night outbound and return crossings in the summer mean I can go over to our place in Normandy for a weekend easily (out Friday night, back Sunday night) without taking time off work. Now the late crossings are 'subject to demand' which means I'm stuck paying £150+ a pop for Brittany Ferries or LD Lines instead.
