What's all the fuss about? Carrefour sell canoes don't they? ;D

And if it was all dry, people would be bitching about not being able to get the tent pegs in, and the world famous HA dust getting everywhere. And I mean everywhere. My 'crevices' are just getting back to normal.

Anyhoo, if it's cold, the hawaiian tropic girls will be niptastic. At least I know how they get their tans. They slather themselves in glue, and run round HA in the dust trail of a goped. ;D

I do wonder if the other nationalities who visit LM are as obsessed with the weather as we are, or is it a peculiarly 'british' preoccupation, born out of an overwhelming sense of akwardness when in social situations.

No, not british at all, the Dutch also do it all the time. But like I said, it's going to be a dry rain!

Don't worry to much Kev, they very seldom get torrential rains like that, as do we here in the south of Holland, and we got more then our share for the past couple of days, it will be fine, and if not, you'll be to pissed to notice, so who cares ;D

So far long range on Metcheck says showers for the week and race.

I'll get wetter from bottles of beer when I fall over into a puddle knowing my luck.

I think we all know how fast the water drains from the sites from bitter experiance!

I would guess that if its not raining now it will be dry in a day or so.

I've got the French weather channel on at the mo' and the prediction is that the sun will be back by Sunday :).  The prediction for next week is good, let's hope it stays that way. Around 23 Mon to Weds - they won't guess over a week ahead.  A bit cloudy at the mo' and temperatures below average for the time of year (20) but hardly any wind and very mild at night.

Don't worry, Brian, weekend forecast is yet to come!  One of the sites which dares to predict the weather 10 days ahead is predicting thunderstorms during the race.  But usually Meteo is pretty reasonable at these things.

the prediction from Wessex, is there will be plenty of weather for the complete week; 24 hours a day.  The days will be light and dark depending when the sun rises and sets.

apart from that I couldn't care less what ever it is we're going to have a bloody marvelous time and may even watch some cars going around the track. 3 days and a wakeup ;D

Hot weathers not exactly brilliant for camping though is it....

Tent gets too hot too soon when you want too lie in your pit till your head clears a bit..

When you do get up , the beer you have left is too warm  and  the walk to the bar is much more tiring.

If you manage to get back to camp in the searing heat you probably need to take a shower at least once during the weekend and thats 30 mins drinking/chilling time wasted just standing in the queue!

Now wet weather is another thing entirely........

It is a dark art this weather forecasting lark - few people have the necessary powers.

Anyway as long as it is not as wet as last year I won't be too bothered.  I just want to get out there now but am stuck in work for another day after today.  Aaaghhhhhhh!!

Title: Re: weather reports

It's very breezy and cloudy this morning and none too hot.  French weather channel is predicting maximum temperatures of around 20 over the weekend and some showers - just hope they're not like the PQ ones or the campsites will be impossible.
