Best of luck for today.

Cheers everyone.
The visit to Croydon was a total waste of time!
We took everything that was stated as required in the guidance notes only to be told that they wanted 3 years documents from both of us, not the 2 years stated in the notes and that they wanted more documents from me, when the notes state that I have to provide 3 months of bank statements.
We now have to make a postal application and provide provide a covering letter saying why we dont have docs in her name ???
When mentioning the 15 or so statements from professionals we have.... they can only be used in the interview and not in the pre interview interview!
Once we make the postal application we will be called for interview if required....

However... the Russian woman with interpreter at the next window seemed to be getting along just fine >:(
WTF is this country coming to!

Oh well... back to the PP archives for another root through papers.

Tough luck Rex. All is not lost yet, there is still hope.

HTF can they ask for more than their own guidance notes state is needed. It's a sorry state of affairs when a citizen of a commonwealth country gets all the hassle and grief when it seems that every Mad Mullah, East European Pikey and Russian criminal can walk in at will and be given everything. Bastards. Bastards.

Bunch of c**ts all of them.

How the f**k can you give them 3 years of paperwork when she's only been in the country 2 and a half years!

If I can muster the effort I will write to my MP (who will do f**k all) as this situation is unacceptable.

As a taxpayer the government should be serving my better interests by kicking out all of the immigrants, legal or otherwise, whose sole purpose for coming to Britain is to milk the benefits system.

Claire has worked ever since she arrived and is actually putting money into the system not taking it out. The only thing wrong with Claire is that she is white and a native English speaker. That apparently gets you f**k all nowadays.

It really is a load of Bollocks.

At least she can remain while under application or appeal.... but had they allowed us to see someone today, show our references and explain why we dont have all the documents they want it would have avoided all the hassle and bullshit that goes with a postal application >:(

Perhaps we were denied an interview today because there was no English speaking interviewer available....

And she will miss LM because her passport wont be back by then... BASTARDS!

f**k that.

I'm prepared to smuggler her in and out of France. She can just hide in the back of the Commer, say in the fridge/freezer or in the big locker under the bed. They never check, honestly.

Rex & Claire,

I hope my letter of support arrived in time.

It's an affront in my view that further hurdles were placed on this path, more than their requirements.

I hope all goes well at the next stage.

As you know, I am not PC or Racist in any way so, can I ask the 'origin' on the interviewers.

The lady we saw at our pre interview interview, at 9am, was a ginger bird with a Pompey Pineapple hair do...

From a Chav Dictionary.

The usual High class claded common bird that’s over popular in Pompey. There hair is tied so tight and high looking like a Pineapple hence the name Pompey Pineapple.
Vicky Pollard was very sharp in here dress sense what with all her gold and shiny track suit it was almost as perfect as her “Pompey Pineapple”.

She appeared to be a rather confused by my VAT reg certificate and Company name change docs. When trying to explain they were proof that I was the Director of the company paying me dividends... as per the dividend payment docs addressed to me she had just looked at..... Rabbit in headlights look :-\

She ignored my shotgun and firearms licences and my Clean CRB statement, kindly provided by a previous employer ;D

Following some very helpful advice from a newly introduced couple (you know who you are ;)) ,we will be implementing plan B tomorrow.

Not one to be beaten by red tape and jobsworth morons >:(

Not meaning to sound bitter or un PC... but I bet the Russian Lady getting stamped up next to us with the help of her interperator is now busy translating all the emails to buyawife.co.ru into perfect English and looking to start an escort agency for those who cant be sold off.

Grrrrrrr >:(

Yes and yes although she has yet to make her mind up; Perdu, MG Mark, GaryFrogeye, Stevie B et al will all try to convince her... Last year as I was driving the support van down (while she did ***** Eurostar) she slung her bike in the back, buggered off for a couple of days and came back when the serious drinking started...

She is, as the phrase goes, a little star....

The Visa application has gone off in the post toay with Guaranteed delivery by 1pm tomorrow. Its got my Passport in it (Gulp), hopefully the 2 letters asking for its return and the copy of my ferry booking will see it back in time as I need it for the 8th of next month.

I've known you to be foolish in the past but this positively borders on retardation.

Another Aussie bird you can find (can't swing a dead cat around London without hitting an antipodean barmaid) a replacement passport you cannot. I would offer to hide you in the van but I'm going until Wednesday night.

I predict lots of sweaty arse moments near 8th June  :o

Good luck too, LLP!!

LP, One of our group had lost his passport for last years LM so he took his dad's instead!
No checks on the way out. On the way back, we had a serious jobsworth at the tunnel who made us remove hats & sunglasses. He read out my mates dad's name and he did the whole "oh no I must have picked it up by mistake" routine. All the guy wanted was some ID, credit card, in this case. He entered his name into his computer and as he wasn't wanted for anything (other than the fashion police!) he let him go!

Well, in theory you only need an identity card - and nothing says who should issue it.  So a valid driving license with an up to date pic' should do. But of course, with LM hanging in the balance, I for one would be sh*tting myself in LPP's situation.  Good luck!

Rex,

Is it at Lunar House?

If yes, there is only one entrance and the queue is about 1/4 mile at the best of times.

Take the train to Wimbledon, then the tram link (mention when buying ticket). Parking is expensive.

Exit tram at Whitgift Centre or just before. It's the tall building on the left.

On arrival, speak to a guard and see if you can get early entry.

0800hrs every day, the queue is half way down the street. I used to work opposite the place.

I got to Dover on route to the GP at Spa a couple of years ago to be told my passport ran out in Jan, after going to L M with it in June of the same year. Dashed up to passport house getting there 10 mins before it closed at 1600, to be told that I needed proof of travel to have it renewed there and then. Thankfully I had bought a ticket in Dover 2 hrs before hand so they reluctantly renewed it by 1800,  dashed back to Dover for the next ferry, and made it to signing on in the Casino at Stavelot with a few hours to spare !!
So you've got loads of time yet !! Best of luck with it anyway!!

LPP,

I was just thinking how hard it is to get passports sorted, good ol British civil service.

Woud it not be easier and more fun to get Mrs LPP a Fullers Passport, think you can still use them to get out of the country.

Who remembers the "Fullers Passport"?

.

Your first line was just asking for a dirty response, but as one is overjoyed with todays news and a little over refreshed, we wont even go there.
I think that the ACO should honour our efforts by letting Lady PP go in the pace car. Naked >:D

IIRC, thats Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, DfH Friday and Poo Bar on Saturday. So when are you trying to fit in another celebration?  Must be between a liquid breakfast and a liquid evening meal then.
