Title: Radio Le Mans Post by: Ruptured Duck Motorsport on April 30, 2003, 09:24:56 am Anyone got the latest on Radio Le Mans?
Will it? Wont it? Chances? Title: Re:Radio Le Mans Post by: Alfa Dave on April 30, 2003, 12:17:49 pm Read this on another site:
"I emailed Radio Le Mans directly to ask for their comment and received this reply back from a gentleman called Martin Nott: We will be there. " That was April 10th - so I think we're safe. I remember life before RLM - wouldn't want to go back to that.... ;) Title: Re:Radio Le Mans Post by: Darren on April 30, 2003, 12:55:42 pm Life on RLM was much better before the Yanks started talking Yank, at least with the Geordie chit chat even if you didn't understand it you could laugh with it.
Bring back the jingles "South Preservation Society". No doubt this years RLM will be sponsored by a Yank outfit full of Yanks ! Pitty we couldn't get some of the posse from this site to do a few stints, perhaps the late show after a few sherries !!! Darren Title: Re:Radio Le Mans Post by: Alfa Dave on April 30, 2003, 01:10:38 pm My favourite recollection was The year that Panoz had Noel Edmonds along for the ride and Jeremy Clarkson was interviewed, once he was assured that the usual BBC guidelines were not applicable.......
Title: Re:Radio Le Mans Post by: Andy Zarse on April 30, 2003, 01:19:34 pm Last year there was some geezer over from the States. Not being rude, but if you're going to be a presenter on RLM you really ought to know how to pronounce Le Mans. And it's not "Leemarns".
Apparently he was some sort of Chrysler stoolpidgeon. I think was Titchmarsh (Ian, not Alan!) who very gently took the piss out of him. As to the suggestion for CA members doing a stint, can you imagine the Rusty and Big H Show on the graveyard slot from 3-5 am? "A big hello to all you truckers out there..." Title: Re:Radio Le Mans Post by: arnoldm on May 04, 2003, 05:21:49 pm Does anyone know what frequency they will broadcast on? Took us until Sunday morning to find them last time
??? Title: Re:Radio Le Mans Post by: Ruptured Duck Motorsport on May 04, 2003, 07:14:51 pm Arnold - Assuming you are in the UK, buy a copy of Autosport the week before the race (from 5th June 2003) and as well as the handy guide, there is plenty of info on RLM, inc' the frequency, if not, I will try to remember to post it here once I have my Autosport that week.
Title: Re:Radio Le Mans Post by: Stu on May 04, 2003, 08:23:27 pm Was it not 91.2MHz FM.
You just scan through until you can understand someone speaking. Thats usually our tuning guide. I just bought a few of those scanning radios with a built in torch of ebay for a £1.50 each including batteries and postage. Just the job Stu Title: Re:Radio Le Mans Post by: starbar on May 05, 2003, 09:41:28 pm I do not know the freq - (BUT my radio hat has been tuned to it for the last 8=10 years it only goes to lemans with me)
Cant wait for another 6 weeks Camping this year on the Houx site - very civilised. Title: Re:Radio Le Mans Post by: Rhino on May 06, 2003, 12:21:42 am And check the website http://www.autosport.com/radiolemans/

Thanks for your help and continuing amusment - Mrs M wonders what I'm sniggering about.
Title: Re:Radio Le Mans Post by: Rhino on May 07, 2003, 01:00:18 am And if you have headphones, take spares. Twice i have had beer related accidents and knackered them!
