Read this on another site:

That was April 10th - so I think we're safe.
I remember life before RLM - wouldn't want to go back to that.... ;)

Life on RLM was much better before the Yanks started talking Yank, at least with the Geordie chit chat even if you didn't understand it you could laugh with it.
Bring back the jingles "South Preservation Society".
No doubt this years RLM will be sponsored by a Yank outfit full of Yanks !
Pitty we couldn't get some of the posse from this site to do a few stints, perhaps the late show after a few sherries !!!

My favourite recollection was The year that Panoz had Noel Edmonds along for the ride and Jeremy Clarkson was interviewed, once he was assured that the usual BBC guidelines were not applicable.......

Last year there was some geezer over from the States. Not being rude, but if you're going to be a presenter on RLM you really ought to know how to pronounce Le Mans. And it's not "Leemarns".
Apparently he was some sort of Chrysler stoolpidgeon. I think was Titchmarsh (Ian, not Alan!) who very gently took the piss out of him.
As to the suggestion for CA members doing a stint, can you imagine the Rusty and Big H Show on the graveyard slot from 3-5 am? "A big hello to all you truckers out there..."

Arnold - Assuming you are in the UK, buy a copy of Autosport the week before the race (from 5th June 2003) and as well as the handy guide, there is plenty of info on RLM, inc' the frequency, if not, I will try to remember to post it here once I have my Autosport that week.

Was it not 91.2MHz FM.
You just scan through until you can understand someone speaking. Thats usually our tuning guide. I just bought a few of those scanning radios with a built in torch of ebay for a £1.50 each including batteries and postage. Just the job

I do not know the freq - (BUT my radio hat has been tuned to it for the last 8=10 years it only goes to lemans with me)
Cant wait for another 6 weeks

Well I guess I'll try Autosport and 91.2 but will I have enough power for the radio once I've connected the beer cooling fridge, satelite internet connection, lap top, mobile disco and projection screen all of which seem essential on this trip? Thanks for your help and continuing amusment - Mrs M wonders what I'm sniggering about.

And if you have headphones, take spares. Twice i have had beer related accidents and knackered them!
