Title: Cheque Presentation to the Motorsport Safety Fund
Post by: Doris on March 03, 2008, 01:58:09 pm
All,

The MSF have offered us tickets (limited number of 10) to a BRSCC club meet at Silverstone the weekend of 12 & 13 April so we can present our big cheque to them either on the podium or the start finish line.   8)

At the moment I am looking at going up on the Sunday but if general opinion of those who wish to join us is to go on the Saturday then I'm sure I can switch days.

Details of the event can be seen here:  http://www.brscc.co.uk/calendar/70.html

Anyone who is interested please let me know.  Tickets are on a first come first served basis.

Dx

PS:  Details of other presentations will follow once I've sorted out time and place details with the charities invloved.

Hi Doris,

could you get someone to take a pic when you hand over the cheque? Would be a good illustration for our "call for donations" page in this years CA guide - so dress nicely ;D.

Cheers

Werner

We'll be at Donington Park that weekend so can't even volunteer for the photography.

I can find out what other snappers will be around if we don't have someone to take a pic.

You're doing well today Doris - nearly as well as me   ;D ;D

Presumably you mean

epiphany: (n) a sudden intuitive leap of understanding, especially through an ordinary but striking occurrence

 ;) ;)

Doesn't an epiphany normally occur on the Road to Domestos?

Oh and Piglet; use a bloomin' hanky!

Good stuff D, have one for me whilst your there.
May suggest that the committee gets first options on the tickets.
If there were any left over I wouldn’t mind going ;)

Doris,

Would love to, but sadly am fully engaged that weekend with the Marham Track Day and taking son to the BTCC on the Sunday for his 18th birthday.  Have a great day out and post a couple of pics on the forum as well as in the guide.  Glad we seem to have got away from girlies sniffling in hankies - was wondering what on earth was hapening earlier in the thread.....

Yes... I put my name down for a ticket with Doris, and have heard nothing more.  I have emailed her to find out which day, meeting arrangements etc.

My contact at the MSF has been somewhat elusive of late.  Been chasing him with no luck.  Those of you who registered an interest to attend will be updated by pm early next week.

Sorry Del, been a bit busy with the two jobs and the college course.

Tickets and info of who we are to meet etc should be in the post to me today.  Will let you know more once they've arrived.

One thing I do know - it's Sunday.

OK guys, details as promised.

Tickets for Sunday have arrived.  I can either post them guaranteed delivery (or whatever the post office want to call it these days) today (Thurs) or you can call me when you arrive and I can meet you at the main gate.  Please pm me to let me know which you prefer.  If it's the post you'll need to give me your address.  If you want to meet me I'll let you know my mobile number.

We will be meeting with Glynn Lee (Senior Clerk of the Course) during the lunch break (1340 - 1420) on Sunday for the presentation.

I have attached the full weekend timetable for your information.

With Brad, Ian, and Smokie unable to attend we now have 1 spare ticket should anybody want to join us.

Dx

PS: Don't forget your cameras.   ;)
