Nice one Deb, The tram looks well smart.           Tram - Arnage.
How many will there be? All named after parts of the track maybe.

I hope they are going to put more carriages on for the LM meet.

Called Arnage and bright orange.  They really have thought about us and our Dutch friends haven't they.   ;D

Top paint job there Steve.

Have you thought about sending it to their transport planners?

It's a tram, Andy, you can't add more carriages!  However, they run very frequently, so will undoubtedly be a lot better than the current bus service.  It's also perfectly possible to get a trolly full of beer on board (as the doors are level with the platforms) so a trip to the Carrefour for a top-up is a doddle!

There are 23 in all and their names are here:

Sorry Deb, me just having a BC moment, they are frequent, and 23 is a good number.

Thanks for the link to the official site, has the link or relevant info been put into the CA guide?

Tram info will be in the guide, yes.  I think it's going to prove incredibly useful for us - no more queuing for ages in traffic jams.  Although we live North of the city, it's even easier for us to drive to Antares and park and take the tram into town - which we did yesterday.  Bloomin' cheap too - 3.6€ to park the car including a return ticket for up to 4 people.

Very cheap.

I went to the theatre in Bristol a couple of weeks back, and used the Park and Ride - exactly £10 for 4 people!!

Never again.

To be fair Del, that's your own fault for going to the theatre  ::)

To be quite accurate, I only half-went to the theatre.  The seats were uncomfortable, the place was like an oven, so when I went outside for a smoke at half time, I went into a pub round the corner and had a pleasant pint or three while waiting for the final curtain, and a meet-up with the rest of the party.  Pity in one way - the show wasn't too bad (Mama Mia) - what I saw of it anyway!!  :P

That all sounds spot on.... will be a bit like going on the bus that runs students to parties, but with far more seasoned veterans on board!
That should remove all the hassles of getting off site for emergency rations in times when a 20 minute trip will take 5 hours :(

Do they have a latrine on board....
