Title: Classic Allocation Post by: Piglet on February 21, 2008, 11:40:52 am The letter confirming my Classic allocation has arrived this morning. No problems with it, got MB as requested.
There is no indication on lemans.org that MB will be allocated or even zoned for the Classic, has anyone confirmed this with the ACO? If not I'll send them an email to check. Title: Re: Classic Allocation Post by: termietermite on February 21, 2008, 11:49:18 am Did you book online or by e-mail, Piglet?
Title: Re: Classic Allocation Post by: Piglet on February 21, 2008, 12:22:30 pm By email ages ago, I was really worried though as I didn't get an email confirmation and thought maybe my request had been lost!
Title: Re: Classic Allocation Post by: termietermite on February 21, 2008, 12:40:24 pm Me too, hence my asking. But it's just turned up now - also MB.
Don't know about marked places etc as I guess they're anticipating having finished the work by then, so it will all be a bit new, with the new mini-circuit around us. It will be interesting, as it should give us a clue as to its size in '09 (Blimey - thinking about that already!) Title: Re: Classic Allocation Post by: Piglet on February 21, 2008, 12:48:27 pm I'll drop them an email and ask whether they are planning to allocate etc. for the Classic. I may have a spare pass but if it's allocated we might keep it to avoid being short of space if we get an odd shaped allocation.
I was quite worried about this one so I'm glad something has turned up...although I do now have to send more emails for more money ;D Title: Re: Classic Allocation Post by: termietermite on February 21, 2008, 12:54:09 pm Quite. In one way I'm really glad it's turned up - but more euros... (and worse given the exchange rate at the mo' which is rubbish!)
Title: Re: Classic Allocation Post by: Werner on February 21, 2008, 03:08:40 pm Got my alloaction for the Classic today also, MB as requested, booked by e-mail in Oct. 2007
Cheers Werner Title: Re: Classic Allocation Post by: Steve Pyro on February 21, 2008, 06:55:31 pm My Classic allocation arrived today, MB also.
Title: Re: Classic Allocation Post by: Steve Pyro on February 21, 2008, 07:09:51 pm would any of you lucky people have a spare MB ticket that you would like to send my way. usual enticements, of course 8) Peter. Very likely. One of my group will be probably dropping out. Will have 2 spare grandstand / race / paddock also. Should know for certain within a couple of days. Title: Re: Classic Allocation Post by: Steve Pyro on February 21, 2008, 07:12:50 pm Most certainly. I've emailed him to confirm he won't be coming.

Title: Re: Classic Allocation Post by: Nordic on February 22, 2008, 08:37:53 am Got our allocation as well-
Masion Blanche x 2 Lagache stand tickets x 4 We don't need these now so unless someone does I will reject them. edited to say the tickets have now all found new homes. I assume that paddock tickets and the weekend passes are available on the gate? Title: Re: Classic Allocation Post by: geoffd on February 22, 2008, 09:10:40 am I assume that paddock tickets and the weekend passes are available on the gate? According to this page http://www.lemansclassic.com/2008/uk/infosPartiques_billetterie.html (http://www.lemansclassic.com/2008/uk/infosPartiques_billetterie.html) paddock passes are only available when pre-booked. We got our allocation through yesterday as well, ACO Stand (which includes paddock) plus GA tickets, plus ACO parking in Blanc. Didn't need any camping as we have a rolling reservation for both 24hrs and Classic at a local hotel. I will PM you details over the weekend. Are the paddock passes worth the money? (Think Goodwood FoS paddock x 1000 - with easier access) Title: Re: Classic Allocation Post by: Nordic on February 23, 2008, 09:08:33 am Nordic me old, could I take 1 MB and the 4 grandstand tickets please? (Think Goodwood FoS paddock x 1000 - with easier access) Is there a dress code to get into the paddock or is it a bit more relaxed than Goodwood? Title: Re: Classic Allocation Post by: Rusty on February 23, 2008, 10:03:47 am We'll be staying out at Alencon in a very pleasant Auberge for the classic. No organising for me at this event, hooray, Simon looks after everything so I'm coming down on the bike :D
Paddocks are definately worth it, no need grow a comedy 'tache or to dust off the demob suit and trilby either. It would also appear that if you are an ACO member then you get free entrance to the paddocks, unless I can be proved wrong there. Rusty |
